Phenomenal Cosmic Power now unobtainable on Shadowlands Pre-Patch

Kinda obvious since the Arena season also ends with the pre-patch.

Yeah its not really a change in the game, but a clarification.

And I'm sure that the 2 people bothering with that massive-ass FOMOINURFACE-grind will now speed up their efforts.

Although it's rather weird that we still don't have a release date.

Like you said, doesn't change much. Granted I'm still trying for a couple Rank 4's, but I'm not going out of my way to get this one. C&S alone is too much of a grind at this point (~3+ weeks for Rank 3 alone, plus you can't start it until you have Rank 2 so 4+). Without knowing a release date / prepatch date the information they gave is pretty useless.

Although is not that obvious at all: if you happen to have the ones to be retired but miss some of the ones that remain available you'd not get this meta even if you end upon getting them all.

No. The already said just a couple weeks ago that its coming out this year. I'm assuming they are waiting for Gamescon. If that comes and goes without any form of release date, I may start drinking the KoolAid.

Insane doesn't require you to have a high arena rating, kill a Mythic Boss, grind honor, win 3 dice rolls AFTER a long grind, do a good mythic+ with 0 deaths, and have a time limit. The absolute WORST thing old Insane had was slamming your face for Shendrelar and having to pay/roll a rogue for boxes

also at the VERY least Insane helps you with the get X reps to exalted achivement

Has anybody actually got that achievement done?

The way Blizzard talk about it, it's like it's a ten minute world quest or something, rather than a gargantuan year-long grind to even have a chance... Like you can just go "oh yeah, I'd better tick that off".

No, it's not very likely, more like impossible. 9.0 is on PTR, if the testing will take insanely long then it's gonna hit live in mid-October and the time between the pre-expansion patch and the release is almost always around 1 month. So the latest we will get Shadowlands is late November. That's a fact.

I'm happy I don't even care. Once BfA is over I don't want anything reminding me of this expansion, it has been horrible.

Tbh it doesn't make sense that they don't simply remove the ones that make sense to remove (Mechagon hard mode and Mythic Azshara) while allowing people to do the rest and still later obtain the FoS if they'd already gotten the two removed ones. The arena one will always stay relevant (they did this with the M+15 mage tower tint, even), while the others had no "skill" involved in their RNG-based grinds.

Another sledgehammer change.
