    Legion was the best expansion WoW ever had and that will ever have. They poured their soul into creating tons of new and interesting lore and creating new systems to make the game more dynamic and they got only shit for it.

    They couldn't get WC3 Reforged by the release date they set, they had to push it back and it still was the worst release in the history of games.

    After following the beta testing so hard for the last month, I REALLY wish i didnt see this date. DAT MONEY GRAB IS REAL

    EVERY expansion is WoD 2.0. How, you ask? Please, don't expect logic from these people, just accept their feels on the matter and realize that you CANNOT enjoy the game, since they're not.

    I wager very soon. Quite likely that they'll give us around a month on the Pre-patch before Shadowlands, so that would place it somewhere in the second half of September.

    You are literally the first person I’ve seen saying this after I’ve been resisting for weeks! There are indeed still sane people out there!

    By the time we are allowed to see things in beta we’re essentially just stress testing and offering opinions on concepts that the devs have already decided on. Yes feedback is useful, but we were never going to alter the course of the vision with our bellyaching, and we aren’t given an up to date build to fully and rationally opine upon in the first place!

    Amen to that, amen. People can say "I dOuBt ThAt" as much as they please, it's a fact that what we see is NOT equivalent to how far ahead they are internally. ^_^

    To be honest, the early release date has me worried. I was thinking it would be late November or December. As someone who played through all of BfA and lead a mythic raiding guild to a Cutting Edge N'zoth, I can tell you that this expansion was a real slugfest. I'm more skeptical now than I ever have been, and I've been playing WoW and raiding since 2005. A lot of people quit during BfA and/or didn't enjoy the systems and philosophies. BfA was an unfinished expansion with many flaws, whether they were bugs in dungeons, poorly-scaled mythic raid bosses, endless grinds, heavy loot RNG, mission table rewards that didn't make sense, botched guild master controls, the azerite gear system, the benthic gear system, the corruption gear system, the list goes on and on. Man, I hope they are prepared for Shadowlands. I was really hoping for a late release date so they could take their time getting it right.

    Well, they said 4-6 weeks for prepatch which puts it between the 15th and 29th, better hurry!

    That said, that's between 3 and 5 weeks away so we'll see the 2 week announcement in the next few weeks.

    Assume its next week and enjoy when you get a week more time. Not sure how knowing will otherwise help.

    Time has nothing to do with it honestly, if they have a plan and the stick to it it's going to end up the same whether it's early or delayed, WoD had one of the longest development cycles and we know how that turned out.

    Great, I've got 2 months to clear up my backlog....not enough time to get through much of it but still.

    Please don't fail me this time Blizz. Legion was great, but BFA sucked, and two in a row terrible expansions would be an unprecedented and worrying sign of the future of the game.

    Always amazin how people can have different opinions. For me MoP was the best expansion and while legion was good, it was too tedious for me.

    pandaria, whose endgame was literally like 25 dailies each day, with only timeless isle to kinda break the monotony for you, was less tedious than Legion's adventure system that let you pick which zone to quest in every day, what type of quests you wanted to do, to party up easy with people, to get bonus rewards for completing caches, finding treasures, constant upgrade of your power through artifact?

    Really? I mean fucking really?
