Chris Metzen Starts Tabletop Gaming Company Warchief Gaming
Chris Metzen has come out of retirement to start a new tabletop gaming company called Warchief Gaming. Dave Kosak Leaves Blizzard for New Studio Deviation Games
Hearthstone's Dave "Fargo" Kosak, formerly Lead Narrative Designer for WoW, has left Blizzard after 12 years. He is taking on a very important role for a new studio called Deviation Games. His tweet says that they are currently making something that will make you say "woah." We wish him all the best in his new endeavor!

    He retired. Came out of retirement in a non competing space and used the word warchief. A very common word especially in fantasy genre. you are reaching for drama where there is none.

    I wonder if Metzen will make any Warcraft related games with his new company he’s obviously still on good terms with blizzard as thrall is still around and there have been wow board games in the past.

    Ifs not only not competing it could be downright cooperative as blizzard has licensed wow to other company’s for board games in the past.

    Unlikely, small indie company making tabletop games for a massive one like Activision, it wouldn't end well.

    But I'm sure we'll see a lot of familiar characters in these new games of his. Some long haired necromancer or blind elf with dual blades.
