then it is an upgrade from the PTR version of event; the players told about their loot (and lack of it) immediately back then and "wohoooo blue proto !!" would have been the talk of the day.

Icecrown will also feature rare spawns of WotLK bosses which drop item level 110 catch-up gear.

Is this correct? I thought all optainable gear was 100 ilvl.

From vendors yeah, got a 115 Sword from Nathanos. Farmed rares non-stop and got no item at all so cant say anything about them.

Edit: Just got a 110 belt

When/where does this play in game? I killed him as world boss and nothing.

Is there any Questline to Nathanos or just the world boss? Have done the few qs in icecrown but thats it?

Is the set available from the vendor for the commendations not a new set? It looks high res compared to what you'd get in WotLK and I'd never seen it before so wasn't sure.

They give you a warning, then make the bosses immune for 2-3 minutes before they can even be attacked. What are you complaining about? If you're camping the rares then put yourself in the middle of the zone.

NOt to mention the fact that even with a large group of people it still takes a couple of minutes to down it.

When you start the quest chain, it will give you a quest to go kill him along with the quest that sends you to Icecrown.

The rare spwans drop 110 gear. The quartermaster sells 100 gear for the commendations you get from the dailies.

If you're not a new or returning player or a new alt to make use of the ilvl 100 gear, there's nothing to see here.
Kill Nathanos, get the pet and the whatever item in 30 minutes and that's it. Or join the lagfest every 20 minutes for no reason.

Should have let non-50's in though.

Incredible, Nathanos is cringe even when dying. Almost beating Pulaski from GTA San Andreas at the being a douchebag level.

The stats on the catch up gear seem wrong. I got a 110 ring from one of the rare spawns and it had 11 haste and 40 versatility on it. The ring I had on which was ilvl 95 had more secondary stats than that.

Additionally the catch up gear doesn’t come anywhere close to replacing the ilvl 90 azerite gear I’m wearing. Even disregarding the traits, the replacement gear had less Int on it but more secondary stats. Unfortunately for classes like Shadowpriest, Int has higher value than secondary stats

My staff for my Mage was 115....

so when is the pre-patch event going live? there were some laggy rare spawns in icecrown today with 20 mins spawntimer that dropped almost uselsss ilvl 110 gear that will get replaced pretty quickly in shadowlands and i also got some commendations that i could buy re-skinned items for from an npc, i dont want another warfront re-skin set.

i've lost all hope on blizz now, 16th anniversery was also horrible, they must have pulled a lever that said "bring back same shit again but less" im tired of playing a dumber version of WoW for every year that passes.

Nooo, what is it this time? I know the current team loves to timegate things but I didnt expect this prepatch-event to have it.

Wait so you weren’t tired when you were playing the dumber version of wow for every anniversary other then the 10th and 15th or every pre patch other then wrath bfa and legion? Or is it that it’s only now got dumber because the anniversary and pre patch still had more then most but not as much as the biggest?

I know man I can’t believe vanilla rare’s have spawn timers or that my daily’s can only be once a day, I mean remember when new content had no time gates?
