She gonna be mad when she finds out that no one goes straight to the maw
Also saw on WoWhead where Perculia states she was sentenced to the maw, she probably going to be a little upset too

Heard it before, Sylvanas. Had an entire raid about it in Wrath, and MoP, and Legion, and BFA. Guess what, our free will always wins out against cosmic forces trying to use us as pawns.

Gotta love the technical aspects here. It seems the facial expressions of Anduin were improved (or is that just me ?), Sylvanas a bit meh though.

Regarding the content... Expected. Nothing really stands out. Sylvanas sounds "sincere" about what she thinks and her plan, but I'm not sure this can ever end in a redemption arc.

    My queen! ... /bow

in all seriousness tho, so far the nightfae cinematic for ysera was the best. I really really want to roll for nightfae but covenant ability sucks.

and for now, I think she believes in the jailor. and when she realizes she is betrayed and the jailor does not give a fuck about her or anyone, she will nuke him so bad.

Some great voice acting so far in the cinematics coming out.
    Patty does Sylvanas so well.

This will make more sense if one of the reasons would be saving the forsaken from eternal damnation. In that sense, she can say my people suffered as undead and this system condemned in the afterlife.

It was obvious that everything is going into this direction .

    i call it now

next expansion will be light vs void on azeroth 50-100 years later then BFa

nah - i bet diamonds against nuts that they go into direction "Azeroth was created only for 1 reason - to supply souls to SL (and possibly other cosmic systems like light/void) as their powersource"

azerothians are nothing more then caddle in hands of oracle .

    or something similiar like that

and i bet that they will go with simple "jailor was against it so he was banished to maw "

and most likely nethrazimes were the ones who were going back and forth to ensure certain events happened so that wars keep happening and people keep dying

That's such a... swift and literal switch to being upfront about her motives. What was the point of keeping it hidden for so long? It's almost like Sylvanas got tired of her bitch act... Even though I was totally expecting and rooting for such a turn, I don't see why this had to be a years in the making twist reveal. It would have been immeasurably better had it been played upfront, or at least had Sylvanas shown some grief when committing her utilitarian crimes instead of having her cackling like a maniac just to "fool the player" into "misunderstanding her".

Unless of course Sylvanas isn't actually talking about the injustice of life and death in a Watsonian sense, but rather she is like Rick Sanchez, a self aware fictional character, and she is meta railing at the writers for not letting her be the character she wants to be - a fair assessment considering her development has always been driven by plot and gameplay requirements rather than character:

"Taking revenge on Arthas was my thing, Anduin, but then they introduced playable Death Knights and they sidelined my arc and that of the Forsaken for a neutral Class faction led by a random human in tier gear with a popular family name. I tried to kill myself to get away from this messy franchise, but they plopped into existence a cruel afterlife to deny me that escape. I was always against raising the dead, but Chris Metzen wanted to explain in lore why people could still roll level 1 Undead, so they forced me to do a 180 on that. And did they at least let me focus on the Plaguelands and oppose the new Lich King? No! They were too lazy to build a functional capital for the Worgen, so they had to push them into exile, and I was the most convenient scapegoat. What's worse, they used me as a tool to whitewash that bastard Genn Greymane. Oh, he was so into genocide when the Alliance was setting up those Orc internment camps, so pragmatic when the Scourge and Legion came, and my people, still alive, were desperately banging at his gate, but you would never know it now...

After that, I thought that I would finally have peace. Garrosh was gone, the Horde was in good hands, and there was no reason to focus on little old me. But then they killed off Vol'jin and made me Warchief out of thin air. Against the rules of proper storytelling, without even allowing the poor Troll to do anything. You can imagine how shocked I was. I knew they wanted something with me. For a moment, I hoped for a redemption arc, but no... I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good. Not for a long time, at least... Oh, you were one of the lucky ones, Anduin. They never made you burn a tree full of innocents while reminiscing about the tragedy that brought you down in the first place. All with a forced smirk on your face. No shower will ever make me feel clean of what Danuser forced me to do, nor will half the fanbase ever forgive me.

But I do wonder. Are you really that bland inside? What is going through your head while they puppeteer you into acting as a moral compass for Cristie Golden's young son? What if I could offer you an opportunity to let your hair down... and maybe get revenge?"

So, it's Shadowlands are Free moment. Nice one

Imagine trying to justifice torment and pain she caused, especially with Teldrassil, where plenty of Night Elves lost their family and friends, some of them were burned alive...
But I guess that's fine, because she don't want to be in the bad after life.

    ay lmao Blizz ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We know that's not the case though, or at least, it shouldn't be.

Arthas wasn't even meant to go into the Maw, and only ended up there because Uther took matters into his own hands. Next to him, the idea that your average Forsaken would merit eternal damnation is utterly ludicrous.

So.. Kerrigan 2.0 then, as everyone expected. FFS Blizzard.

All this because you "don't get to chose your own fate"? She's seriously screwing the world because she's still a bad loser about losing to Arthas? lol.

That's a good point. A strong hint on why they changed the undead.

What if this is a whole 3rd wall breaking plot, the 'we never had free will' being blizzard's and us the players controlling their lives.

Are we about to witness an Animal Man-tier fourth wall-breaking, genre defying, game changing, expectations subverting moment? 10/10 Game of the Millenium. Do it, Blizz.
