Who the fucking hell is designing Torghast? Its a cluster fuck as is atm, some classes are autoattacking their way through this with ease while other specs have a hard time.
And then you add this absolute dog shit "pet" that does max 1% of your total dmg, keeps you in combat, if a mob looks into its direction it dies and then when you pick abilites for this shitpet you actively nerf yourself because aint picking anima powers for your own spells...

Cluster fuck of an expansion. Disgusting. Horrendous class balance, ultra favouritism for some classes/specs (looking at you boomkins! wtf)...

Pet chases Mawrats and ends up in a group of elites.

Oooo all the choices! Ok yeah, cool...it's fun. Then I get done and all I get is some shitty currency that I can't even use without purchasing a token to buy the overpriced base items.

Yeah, those beast things are annoying and quite frankly useless. You nerf yourself just to have a stupid pet you can't control running around. No thanks.

It's freaking terrible.

Pick up a beast and spend a whole run getting beast powers that are worthless.

Save yourself the trouble and don't even bother.

Taunt and aoe pet kinda lackluster, the doggo that spams bloodlust tho is solid.

Don't select a beast on start if they suck and you won't be offered any supporting powers for them.

These things are basically doing Torghast with no powers. They are literally useless in everyway. I had t leave and restart because they are so bad and useless.

Yeah, the only useful thing the pet does is give you the haste buff, other than that it's completely worthless.

No it just makes it an option. Having options doesn't make it useless. It is quite possible to get the pet to be a decent contribution though the one that silences seems to be the better choice. It just comes down to luck like all anima powers but they can be pretty powerful once you have 300%+ damage on them plus exploding when they die plus faster special abilities.

Picking all beast powers my Demonology warlock had just as easy of a time as I did with other runs. Could it use some tweaks? Sure. But it is far from useless and the complaints of "it chases mawrats" is silly because that is the whole risk of mawrats. Lock them down and they don't chase and pull packs. It is something pet and non-controlled guardian classes have had to deal with forever.

the event could be better yes, but it's the first of (currently) three special events that at least add a little bit of a twist. hopefully it'll receive some improvements and I expect there'll likely be more events added to the rotation eventually too, especially if they plan to keep Torghast relevant for the whole run of the expansion and not just this tier
at least they gave an option to opt out of the event so that you can still do a normal run, that's something blizz have gotten better at lately (as with the pvp brawls, the regular battlegrounds still being available as well)

personally I feel it would've been better to have it in Twisted Corridors since then you at least gather enough anima powers over the run that it would likely make a more noticeable difference to the pet, even if you also pick enough powers to buff yourself as well. or to have a wing designed specifically for the event with enough anima drops (or at least make it so the mawrat floor doesn't pop during the event since that means a whole floor with no bonus powers dropping) and some encounters/traps/puzzles that somehow make use of the pet... the idea has potential but needs more work. but I'm glad they're trying stuff, I just hope they keep trying harder

You get at minimum 1700g a day just from callings. If you feel like you need to buy tokens to make gold maybe mmos just aren't for you.

I had a blast with it. 400% hp, death explosion and hp loss in combat meant I tagged as many mobs as I could, rounding up half a floor at a time, then ice blocked and watched them all melt.

I just ran it on layer 8 and I would have rather had my typical druid abilities. I had less healing and less damage because of the beast.

"heh ! let push those button, put this in game randomly and let see what happens"

so basicly, fuck those new power who give you nothing, just go with power for yourself and you'll be fine, dont waste your time on the new power
