Adventures Companions Updates Now Live

The Kyrian Covenant Companions were a mix of durable combatants and fragile fighters who had big abilities, but deploying them effectively wasn’t as intuitive as expected. To compensate, we’ve boosted many abilities and decreased some Companions’ overall fragility.

  • Pelagos health increased by 20%.
  • Teliah spell effectiveness increased by 18%.
  • Kythekios attack increased by 50%.
  • Telethakas health increased by 100%, and spell effectiveness increased by 167%.
  • Hala health increased by 17%, attack increased by 50%, and spell effectiveness increased by 30%.
  • Molako health increased by 67%, and spell effectiveness increased by 33%.
  • Ispiron attack increased by 33%.
  • Nemea attack increased by 33%, and spell effectiveness increased by 50%.
  • Pelodis attack increased by 33%, and spell effectiveness increased by 50%.
  • Disciple Kosmas health increased by 20%.
  • Bron attack increased by 50%.
  • Apolon health increased by 25%, and spell effectiveness increased by 100%.

Many of the Venthyr Covenant Companions were not as well established in their different roles as we hoped. Some had a powerful attack, but were beaten before they could deploy it. They’ve each received an improvement that fits with their purpose.

  • General Draven health increased by 25%.
  • Nadjia the Mistblade health increased by 30%.
  • Theotar health increased by 25%, and spell effectiveness increased by 20%.
  • Stonehuck health increased by 25%.
  • Kaletar the Mender health increased by 20%, and spell effectiveness increased by 67%.
  • Ayeleth the Deprived health increased by 38%, and spell effectiveness increased by 43%.
  • Rahel health increased by 40%, and spell effectiveness increased by 100%.
  • Stonehead health increased by 25%, cooldown increased to 4 rounds (was 2), and spell effectiveness increased by 400%.
  • Simone health increased by 38%.
  • Bogdan spell effectiveness increased by 150%.
  • Thela Soulsipper health increased by 38%.
  • Dug Gravewell health increased by 14%.
  • Nerith Darkwing health increased by 38%.
  • Lost Sybille health increased by 50%, and spell effectiveness increased by 40%.
  • Vulca health increased by 25%, and spell effectiveness increased by 25%.

We’ve additionally updated the Ardenweald Bramble Trap ability to correct a bug that caused its damage reduction to incorrectly apply permanently to enemy units.

  • Ardenweald Bramble Trap ability redesigned. This is now a 1-cooldown ability which deals damage and reduces the damage of the next enemy attack.

100% or more adjustments on some followers... you know they fucked up the whole mission table during beta.

3% on specs that are 10-20% behind ain't gonna do shit.

It also wont fix the perception of the average player not inviting them because 'they are bad'.

Damn the flood gates are opening up it seems. The follower thing was a disaster and hopefully this fixes it a bit.

As for the classes.. man some of these are much further behind than 3-5% but it is probably a cautious approach. Tune up slowly in steps instead of massives swings.

Bm is dead last in litteraly everything. Aoe, ST, Cleave, you name it. a meagerly 5% buff the same same time as assassin got their second 5% buff. Bm was still last when they got their first 5% buff

Now all they need to do is have XP missions show up for new followers.

I hard-leveled all of my original crew while Torghast was unlocking to 30+ and now I have half my crew at lv10-12 with all my missions being 37+.
There is no way they make any of those. I usually send them out just to die for the little xp they can get from a lose but this is a joke.

Also, why do troops scale to the median level of all my crew rather than just to the highest one?

Torghast literally nerfed my mission table the more I did it.

It's amazing how much time they spent calculating buffs for command table, but just slapped 5% and 3% on low pve specs. ACTUALLY A JOKE OF A COMPANY

They know a ton of players absolutely do not want a lower spec bypassing them because they feel they wasted all their time devoting gearing their spec and then another spec gets buffed past them and now it’s “wasted” and they need to swap.

Not saying that mentality is right, but it is absolutely there.

And there is no such thing as “even” for this community. If you aren’t first, you’re last.

The mission table on the beta was broken for a LONG time on the beta, to where you could even do it for weeks on end until very late in the beta. Most of the issues went live because there wasn't any time to test it to a level that would reveal some of the issues. While they're addressing some issues, there's some pretty big issues that are outstand, such as mission level/scaling completely out of whack, leveling the followers is terrible, disposable troops constantly losing levels when you get new lvl 1 followers, etc. Again, it's the result of Blizz rushing to get SL out when it was still not ready and not tested enough.

Most of the elite missions award 1500 exp on fail.
Download venture plan addon. It shows all the xp totals.

I can smell the beta from here, but it is nice to see the companions fixed (?) in the end.
    Those 3% look funny, though.

How could we not have Bm barbed shot debuff stackable up to 2-3 times?

There is also at least one Night Fae follower with a broken skill that does literally nothing still and they didn't fix it even though they supposedly went through all the followers now (or probably just slapped the nerf on NF and didn't even check any followers I guess lmao).

I just wonder what percentile they base class buffs off of. Let's assume max, this puts the lower dps just barely at the lowest numbers still. But at least a buff is a buff. But if you look at 70th percent bm is middle.of.the pack on hungering destroyer so that really doesn't warrant a buff. Hmm.

I see no frost mages around. I dont think after 3% buff their population will increase. They are need something around 10%. At least to single target spells. Until frost cannot beat fire in single target this spec doesnt make any sense. Shit dps, shit surv, shit utility. +3% definetly change nothing here.

I know it's a good deal of math but do they not have formulas and then change the variable(s) and get the outcome? I know it's complicated but seems like a waste of time to just plug and chug.

Pretty sure that 1-2 months ago Blizzard were talking about how the mission table followers would eventually work themselves out because they had only thoroughly tested them at the highest table mission levels. And yet wee see ridiculous changes like ONE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN PERCENT buffs to a single follower.

So, if this shit was supposed to work itself out eventually... does that mean that now Venthyr and Kyrian are gonna be batshit broken in like 1-2 months from now? And that Necros and NF will have to get their share of ONE HUNDRED PERCENT buffs to certain followers since, you know, the system was supposed to be perfectly balanced at higher levels 3 months ago already?

One could certainly incite some kind of... bullshit pathetic ass standard by the book Blizzard incompetence lie there again. Almost like the table was never balanced to begin with and it took them 3 months to do something about Kyrian and Venthyr being like a fucking flat 30% behind the other 2. But, of course, instead of admitting that 2 months ago, nope, couldn't do that, they instead once more had to lie and bullshit us about how everything would naturally work itself out eventually - totally naturally by applying 30% buffs to everything 2 months later.

Of course this is nice. But of course this is just another proof that Blizzard have no integrity and will absolutely never admit to any fucking wrong doing, fuck up, mistake or whatever at all. Nono, instead:
The Kyrian Covenant Companions were a mix of durable combatants and fragile fighters who had big abilities, but deploying them effectively wasn’t as intuitive as expected
Once more we're all just too stupid to utilize their hyper intelligent 3d chess design.

Fuck Blizzard. Pathetic lying joke of a company. Nothing this company says holds any value. The only thing you can count on is that money is all that matters. If they tell you anything but that, expect it to be a lie, expect them to go back on their words 2 months later, even for the most insignificant shit such as fucking mission followers balance.
