lol, but hope is not lost, blizzard will not be the ones on the throne anymore, but the throne is there nonetheless

Seems unlikely that they'll announce anything StarCraft or HotS related when there's no panels about either game.

Sorry to say, Blizzard really are just sucking the last vestiges off of Starcraft 2 before they kill the franchise completely. I believe they have no interest in continuing it going forward. I aint speaking like I know, but I just have a cynical feeling.

Also Warcraft 4 will be for mobile. I have a horrible feeling in my gut that there will be a huge gut punch at this Blizzcon. Don;t be surprise if more mobile games are announced.

Exactly what was expected considering the days we're living in.

I'd be extremely happy with a Diablo 2 Remaster\remake, and with the 9.1 announcement, raid will be coming out of left field.

Starcraft, Warcraft and HotS got canned, abandon hope on these.

I'm expecting an announcement for a mobile game based on Warcraft IP, Overwatch pushed back to late 2022, and Diablo 4 having "no release date" yet. By the way, did WCIII Refunded ever get those changes that they promised at release?

    No more starcraft, riperoni

Team 1 (the one that was in charge) got silently disbanded around last september or october.

"In 2 years"? This has already been going since 2016, when Overwatch was released. No new games were created since Overwatch, only new content for already existing games, namely WoW xpacs, HS xpacs and SC:R.

Blizzard today is just WoW and nothing else, HS is the only game besides WoW which is doing fine I guess, but this is a niche game.

The only new games announced since 2016 are D4 and OW2 which will not see light of day in near future (if ever).
OW2 is basically a reskin of OW with single player, but that doesn't really matter since it is allocated a measely 40 min in 2 day schedule, showing how important it is.

OW, D3, HotS, SC2 and WC3 are all abandoned.

Im pretty sure this is actually just a makeshift one that was planned at end of 2020 but pandemic so delay a few months and went online.

I won't even be suprprised to see Activision disbanding Blizzard in the next couple of years since all the founders of WoW have already left, they can just outsource it to Lemon Sky since the game has already started to look like Asian RPG.

Why are people surprised on no HotS .. they made it clear it's been cut down.
    Expcted something new tho.

I wasn't expecting much and somehow it's even more disappointing than that. So basically..

WoW - Patch 9.1 showcase, maybe 9.2 as well.
Diablo 4 - glorified devblog, maybe a downloadable playable demo at best?
    SC2 - dead
HotS - dead, not even going to expect a new hero
Hearthstone - some new expansion stuff no one cares about
OW2 - nothing substantial based on the scheduling

That's.. that's it? At this rate the only things that could POSSIBLY be announced are WoW TBC and a Diablo remaster.

Personally I just want them to come out and kiss my fat ass while apologizing for the disgrace that was WC3 Reforged, but whatever..

Blizzcon should really just go to every other year because they have nothing to show. At least I will have something to watch on Saturday with Critical Role's Diablo game.

    lets talk about IPs

at the end of the day the most funny fact is this: activision happened. Blizzards next step was to create and maintain some STRONG IPs, including a Battle.net platform hosting all of them. they dreamed of that big gaming company hosting all their various FAT IPs. doing videos and stickers with all their heroes from Overwatch, HotS, Hearthstone, Starcraft, Diablo and WoW. the GREAT Blizzard IP platform! The GIANT gaming company! What a dream!

and now look. its 2021. look at what they have to offer at their own big event (thats even more cheap and easier to produce, because its just online and recorded). WoW is milking the cow as much as possible. Diablo is „in development“ (since forever). Diablo Immortal is born dead. HotS dead. Starcraft dead. Warcraft dead. Wether Warcraft 4 nor even 3 remasterd. Haerthstone running sideways for some gimpy campster fire shit. and Overwatch is just there to have something beneath WoW. Cheapshit cash grab systems and no clue how to make „Blizzard great again“. What a dream!

What a dream! What a company!

Funny what happened to their great dreams and plans.

The posts here are quite harsh but it's remarkable that many of Blizzard's more recent projects have failed while life support has been pulled on their older games with no replacement. HotS, WC3RF, D3, OW...

Just let Activision take over at this point. Much of Blizzard's talent has wandered off anyways.

I want to get off Mr. Bones' wild ride.

abandoning starcraft/2 is the most retarded move. it literally created esports in the late 90s and the esport landscape wouldnt be the same if it wasnt for that game. especially in a world where there isnt a real competitor rts in all that time
