Backed by the renewed might of the four Covenants, the champions of the Horde and the Alliance will take the fight for the Shadowlands to the seat of the Jailer’s power. But the Banished One has a terrible new champion in his service—a cruel instrument of despair conscripted by Sylvanas Windrunner, capable of instilling dread into the hearts of Azeroth’s heroes like no creature of the Shadowlands.

  • Discover the Mysteries of Korthia - The Jailer is searching for the key to fulfill his twisted designs—and he has pulled a fragment of a long-lost domain into the Maw itself to find it. Seek answers in ancient Korthia, the City of Secrets, and engage in new quests and outdoor activities.
  • The Covenants Strike Back - With the strength of the kyrian, night fae, necrolords, and venthyr restored, embark on a campaign to unite the four covenants—and together, launch an assault against the Jailer in his home territory.
  • Raid the Sanctum of Domination - Brave treacherous, unexplored reaches of Torghast in a new 10-boss raid: the Sanctum of Domination. Encounter the true Eye of the Jailer, turn the tide against the Tarragrue, and come face-to-face with the Banshee Queen herself in a fateful confrontation.
  • New Mega-dungeon - Tazavesh, the Veiled Market—Gather your party and discover exotic wares and strange creatures in an eight-boss Mythic mega-dungeon set in a bazaar of the mysterious Brokers, and culminating in a high-stakes heist to steal powerful artifacts from Azeroth.
  • And More - Gear up for Shadowlands Raid, Dungeon, and PvP Season 2, with a seasonal Mythic Keystone dungeon affix themed around the Jailer’s power; don new Covenant cosmetic armor sets that any class can wear; expand the powers of your Soulbinds and Conduits; add new mounts and pets to your menagerie; Unlock flying in the Covenants’ four domains; and much more.

  • Join the Fight as a Blood Elf or Draenei – The ranks of the Horde and the Alliance grow! Fight for the Horde as the blood elves, seeking a new source of the arcane power that once sustained them, or join the Alliance as the draenei, exiles from Outland in search of a new home.

  • Choose Your Era – Prior to Burning Crusade Classic’s release, WoW Classic players can decide whether to advance each of their characters to the Burning Crusade era with the rest of their realm, or to continue playing the original WoW Classic content on new Classic Era servers.

Highly unlikely that they care about something as trivial. They just wanted their LK 2.0 and people have been screaming at them that they hate their non-toxic masculinity goody two-shoes child of prophecy.

How can you say with a straight face that there is nothing similar between wrath and cata, holy shit.

Okay, its either them holding information as tight as possible and drip-feeding "leaks" or they seriously have nothing to show.

Tbf i dont think there are "classes" or at least restrictions coming with them in the actual lore. It's not like a paladin cannot canonically pick up a dagger, even though we cant cause of a class restriction.

Pick an option and commit to it. It's good enough that you even have this option.
But essentially it's another game, just like when I copy my char to the PTR or Beta, I get a copy of him.
They can do the same now. We will have a new option of launcher for BC classic along with the 2 existing for retail and vanilla classic.
I can't see why they can't offer something like this. In addition as a company that cares for profit, it means they care for their clients been happy, and an arrangement like this will make a lot of ppl happy (aka pay more), so while they may not do something like this, they can at least consider it.
And we, as customers, can at least ask for the better option available, and not be ok with something less.

10 high pop servers and not even a single full pop server. compared to over 20 full and over 50 high on release is a rather good indicator that classic is indeed considered ”Dead”
The launch hype was just that.. a launch hype, obviously a lot of those people would leave over time, as The classic experience is very brutal and a lot of people will fall to the preasure.

But as long as the world buffs are happening i won't consider it dead, You need a new character with the item for every buff time.. so that is at the very least 7 Nefarian 7 Hakkar hearts, 7 Rend items & 7 Onyxia heads every week (Tho there is often multible pops per day) for far over a year straight now

i think the balance people are looking for is coming. that's when the casual meets the hardcore. That to me was the transition from TBC to the end of WOTLK. I can't wait until those Wrath players play TBC in its release glory, and for what it was. I look forward to it too. Sure, plenty of hardcores wanted Classic WoW, and they got it. Now it's time to release that out on some good ole TBC and soon to be WOTLK servers. Imagine your down time logging on to different servers for different resets, going after the same thing on three different timelines of the game. FML.

here is a thing you don't consider tho. The money blizzard make from retail is so much more then classic will ever get them. So if classic ever had been a risk for retail. The simply wouldn't do it. The money bfa made them the very first day of bfa from game licenses sold, is the equivalent of 14 million subs in classic for a month. 7.5 million for 2 months. And this is just for 1 day in retail. Legion had almost as many sales and shadowlands had even more. So they will shut down classic long before it hurts retail.

TBC? Been there, done that. I fail to see the appeal of playing Classic or any of the previous expansions.

As for 9.1, well, my expectations were low -- but damn, this is super underwhelming and 'boring'. I won't be renewing for this, unless they got more in store. We'll see in Blizzcon.

Imagine re-sitting an exam with all the questions and answers already known and thinking it's going to be "difficult". As much as I want, TBC or any other expansion will never capture the original essence when played through the first time. Having said that, TBC was the best expansion for me hands down back in the days, I've never had as much fun.

pretty much in the same boat myself...launch until now I've only had a few negative experiences in Classic. Full disclosure...levelled 3 characters to 60 without a guild and pugged Ony, MC and ZG on my main...so I avoided Guild drama but survived all else, including dungeon / raid pugs with few, if any, issues.

I also agree that you get what you seek...a lot of these posts from others complaining about toxicity and/or min/maxing in Classic are a) exaggerating or just making it up (and if you checked their post history you would no doubt find they were anti Classic to begin with); or B) are exactly the type of player they are complaining about - toxic min/maxers - that could't take the heat from the crowd they were running with, either due to a lack of a thick skin or player skill, and just come to these forums to vent and trash Classic to compensate for their shortcomings.

Well, I'm actually quite easy, and 9.1 looking like a big fat nothing tells a lot. I lost count on how many times Jeremy used the word 'brand-new' or 'never before seen', at this point they're even trying to convince themselves.
