I think it might be helpful to note that what we’re now calling WoW Classic Era realms start at Level 1, and we feel the same as we did two years ago: no Boost would ever be needed (or appropriate) there. When we originally laid out our principles for WoW Classic, the 1-60 experience was the only thing to which we could refer.

Burning Crusade Classic begins at level 58, and we’re configuring this new Boost service to avoid minimizing the accomplishments of existing players or skipping any new content at launch. It’s for players who want a way to quickly join their friends in Outland.

      • Call Dreadstalkers attack power increased by 10%, and Dreadbite and Dreadlash damage increased by 10%.

Covenants
  • Necrolord
    • Fleshcraft has been redesigned – Form a shield of flesh and bone over 3 seconds (was 4 seconds) that absorbs damage equal to 40% of your maximum health for 2 minutes. While channeling, your damage taken is reduced by 20%. Passive effect – Moving near an enemy’s corpse consumes their essence to reduce Fleshcraft’s cooldown by 1 second.

    • Paladin
      • Conduits
        • The extra spells from Ringing Clarity (Kyrian) now have a longer delay between hits. Additionally, area-of-effect Judgment hits from Divine Toll are no longer reduced by 25% in PvP, and Judgment triggered from Ringing Clarity is reduced by 25% in PvP.
        • Retribution
          • Virtuous Command no longer plays an attack animation when it triggers.

    • Druid
      • Cat-Eye Curio now restores 30% Energy (was 25%).
    • Hunter
      • Dire Command now has a 30% chance to trigger (was 20%).
      • Rylakstalker’s Piercing Fangs critical damage increased to 35% (was 20%).

      • Holy
        • Shadowbreaker, Dawn of the Sun buff duration increased to 8 seconds (was 6 seconds).
        • Maraad’s Dying Breath’s healing bonus to Light of the Martyr no longer increases self-damage taken. Additionally, Maraad’s Dying Breath now causes all Light of the Martyr self-damage to be dealt over 5 seconds.
      • Protection
        • The Ardent Protector’s Sanctum has been redesigned – When Ardent Defender saves you from death, it restores 40% additional health. When Ardent Defender expires without saving you from death, its remaining cooldown is reduced by 40% (was 60 seconds).
      • Retribution
        • Final Verdict damage has been increased by 15%.
    • Shaman
      • Elemental
        • Echoes of Great Sundering now causes Earthquake to deal 120% additional damage (was 175%).


Player Vs Player
  • Battlegrounds
    • Ashran
      • Maximum player count per faction is now 35 (was 30).
      • Starting reinforcements are now 175 (was 150).
      • To allow both factions to have easier access to Star Root Tubers and Song Flowers, both these tasty treats will now spawn alongside each other in the Dark Woods and Root Den.
      • Artifact Fragment cost to summon Kronus and Fangrall reduced to 1500 (was 3000).
      • Horde and Alliance tower mages are now worth 30 Reinforcements when slain (was 50).
      • Horde and Alliance tower mages have had their spells adjusted:
        • Rylai Crestfall – Alliance Tower Mage
          • Northrend Winds now deals 15% of the target’s maximum health in Frost damage.
          • Frostbolt now deals 8% of the target’s maximum health in Frost damage.
          • Frostbolt Volley now deals 15% of the target’s maximum health in Frost damage.
          • No longer casts Mass Polymorph.
        • Jeron Emberfall – Horde Tower Mage
          • Fireball now deals 8% of the target’s maximum health in Fire damage.

        • Siege Engine’s Steam Rush ability deals 20-35% of a player’s health (was 30-45%).
        • Demolisher’s Hurl Boulder ability deals 20-25% of a player’s health (was 36%).
        • Demolishers will now more consistently deal siege damage when striking fortress walls and towers.
        • After 5 minutes, all players in the battleground who do not have a rank (including players who join late) will now be granted the rank of Corporal.

      • Removed the stun when summoning the temporary ghoul version of Raise Dead (Rank 1) in PvP.
    • Mage
      • Ice Form (PvP Talent) is no longer on the global cooldown to match Icy Veins, the ability it replaces.

        • Ultimate Sacrifice (PvP Talent) now causes Blessing of Sacrifice to last 6 seconds in addition to its existing effects.
      • Protection
      • Steed of Glory (PvP Talent) will now grant immunity to roots and snares only (was all crowd controlling effects).

  • Anima Powers
    • Night Fae
      • New Anima Power: Frigid Wildseed (Epic) – Activating Soulshape stuns enemies within 12 yards of the departure and destination location for 6 seconds. Can be obtained 1 time.
    • Warrior
      • Smoldering Inertia damage bonus decreased to 100% (was 200%) and the duration increased to 6 seconds (was 4 seconds).

Covenants
  • Venthyr
    • The Ember Court
      • Permanent RSVPs
        • Guests who you have reached Best Friend status with now give you a permanent RSVP.
        • The Permanent RSVP will allow all characters on your account to invite that guest to future Ember Courts without completing their RSVP quest again.
      • Temel in Sinfall now sells a Bind on Account book at Exalted with the Ember Court. The book will teach your Dredger Butler how to handle the Cleanup and Restocking quests that follow the Ember Courts.
      • One-time reputation items from Temel and Lady Ilinca will no longer appear once learned.
      • Droman Aliothe’s RSVP no longer requires players to venture to Bastion and Maldraxxus for items.

    My point was I don't enjoy Vanilla, and I especially don't enjoy doing it all again 14 years later because someone else decided to play Vanilla again for 1.5 years. It's not a "flex". The biggest argument I've seen against boosts is "I put in X amount of time into Vanilla, it's not fair for someone to boost to 58". Sure completely new people might pay the $60 to boost to 58, but I would wager more folks like myself that know how to play WoW, and played TBC when it was current content will use the boost.

    BTW not liking Vanilla leveling =/= not liking leveling in an RPG. GEEZ.

    That's a fine opinion, but to me it goes against the ethos. I think a majority of players who refer to TBC as the best expansion have the same mentality, as boosts were not in the game then. Or in Wrath. Or Cata....etc.

    I know people are older now, we all have jobs and/or families, but so did people back then believe it or not. They still had to level. So too should we now.

    Boosting is for modern WoW. Not classic.

    Maybe Blizzard has a data-driven reason to provide boosts. It’s probably not difficult to ascertain the level of interest in TBC vs the number of accounts that didn’t successfully make it to 60, and conclude that the leveling experience of Classic could hurt the potential for TBC Classic.

    The prevalence of dungeon boosts in Classic sort of refutes your point. Even die hard Classic players don’t want to level again, when given an alternate option.

    So that leaves the nostalgia purists, which will always be the minority.

    Maybe they do have data. Maybe they threw it out there to gauge reaction. The datapoint of people who leveled to 60 vs TBC interest isn't everything because some people, like me for example, didn't really care to play Vanilla over again but definitely want to play TBC/Wrath. Also probably a fair amount of 60's who won't be going on to TBC. I also accept it's an RPG game leveling is part of it.

    Do you have some data on dungeon boost prevalence? And not all classic players "don't want to level again" as I'm not the only person who's lodging complains with a boost system.

    There will be a lot of people who abandon it or reroll. I'd argue it'll be close to the number of people who'd abandon leveling or reroll anyways, boost or not. But that isn't the point or relevant.

    It's funny to see people like you that don't know why there is a gold problem in classic WoW. So you might want to know the reasons why before you talk **** kid.

    Having a fresh TBC AND OR CLASSIC server wont fix these problems when people already know the net worth of items in classic and TBC. Items for BSing and Tailoring are gonna be insanely expensive cause people know those items can be bis for some classes for awhile. The fact you honestly think it will fix gold issues shows you know nothing about basic economics which is pretty pathetic.

    In your words don't do drugs or you'll know nothing about basic economics which is taught in middle school, I'm surprised you can even function.

    Other person gave you a good rebuttal now that you've elaborated on your nonsensical question, but I also see that you're working off the flawed assumption that I always agree with Blizzard and think that a 58 boost this late in the game for Classic would be a bad thing but for BC it's a good thing. For BC it IS a good thing whether you like it or not, and for Classic I actually don't agree with Blizzard and I don't think it would matter. Classic is more or less over at this point.

    I don't disagree with you, but there are a few obvious reasons for the boost. Money and demand. Why throw away $15 a month, on top of the $60 boost revenue, to gate people out of jumping into TBC? There must be some analytics internally at Blizzard that says they will make more by offering boosts versus milking subs to slog through old content. Remember at the end of the day ActiBlizzard only cares about money and profits.

    Except it does. It's not relevant. None that of the content from vanilla will carry over to TBC:
    • None of the vanilla reputations are relevant anymore;
    • None of the vanilla zones are relevant anymore;
    • None of the vanilla raids are relevant anymore;
    • None of the vanilla crafting recipes are relevant anymore;
    • None of the vanilla reagents are relevant anymore;
    • None of the vanilla gear are relevant anymore;

    And so on and so forth. The vanilla level became just a hoop to jump through to join your friends in the actual relevant content, which is the 60-70 zones.
