  • Explore the first two acts of Diablo II in full – Navigate perilous areas of eastern Khanduras, from the Rogue Encampment to the Monastery, and then head East to walk the sands of sunlit Lut Gholein.
  • Try out three beloved characters – Crush demons in fierce melee combat as the Barbarian, slay your enemies from afar as the Amazon, or master deadly spells as the Sorceress.
  • No level cap – Power up and upgrade your characters as much as you want until the end of the Technical Alpha. Note that progress will not be carried over to future tests or the final game.
  • Test the single-player experience – While multiplayer will be a huge part of Diablo II: Resurrected upon release, we are focusing on testing solo play during this Technical Alpha
  • Play with mouse and keyboard or a controller – Diablo II: Resurrected will allow you to control the game the way you want it, and we will be testing both input methods in the Technical Alpha.
  • Sanctuary needs your help urgently – Diablo II: Resurrected Technical Alpha will be running from 10 a.m. Pacific Time on April 8 (Early Access) through 10 a.m. PT on April 12.
  • International availability – Technical Alpha will be available in most regions to a limited number of participants.
  • Internet connection required for testing only – To ensure security of the Technical Alpha, a constant online connection will be required during play. (A constant Internet connection will not be required for the final version of the game.)
  • Available for pre-purchase on Windows PC — The Diablo Prime Evil Collection includes Diablo II: Resurrected, Diablo® III, the Reaper of Souls™ expansion, the Rise of the Necromancer pack, and exclusive cosmetic items.
  • This is only the first Technical Alpha — Signups are open at Diablo2.com to participate in future tests, including the Multiplayer test coming later this year.
  • English language-only for the Technical Alpha – When released, Diablo II: Resurrected will be localized in more than a dozen languages including English, French, Italian, German, European Spanish, Korean, Polish, traditional Chinese, Mexican Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. Additional supported languages to be announced later.
  • Stream and capture all the footage you want – As soon as you begin playing the Diablo II: Resurrected Single-player Technical Alpha (during Early Access or later), you are free to livestream, capture, and publish gameplay footage, or take and publish as many screenshots as you like from anywhere in the game.
  • Explore the Sanctuary of players’ nightmares, now in stunning 4K resolution.*
*4K resolution and 7.1 Dolby Surround require platforms and equipment that support those features.
  • Diablo II: Resurrected will feature all 27 minutes of cinematics that have been remade, shot-for-shot, from the ground up. These are still a work-in-progress, and the Technical Alpha will include the original Diablo II cinematics as placeholders.
  • Original 2D sprite-based models are reborn with full 3D physically-based rendering. Upgraded visuals also include new animations, dynamic lighting, new textures, and updated visual effects.
  • Remastered graphics and the more nostalgic “original” experience can be toggled back-and-forth with the press of a button.
  • Audio remastered in Dolby Surround 7.1 sound.
  • Genre-defining Diablo gameplay featuring robust RPG character progression, incredibly deep itemization, and visceral hack-and-slash combat.
  • Let us know what you think – Everything you will see in the Diablo II: Resurrected Single-player Technical Alpha, including visuals, audio effects, user interface, in-game systems, and more, is not final and should be considered a work-in-progress.
  • We will be listening to feedback very closely and making changes where necessary to deliver the best possible Diablo II experience to players.

I thought D3 was available on consoles? Or are you specifically talking about controller support on PC?

Speaking of which, I could probably buy a nice printer for this price and print a 100 of them.

There we go! Someone so mad they can't afford it they talk as if they know what they're talking about. Ofc, everything can be done better but calling it a bad paint job, from those pictures, are hilarious.

Especially when the sourced lightning is there, and that's one of the best parts of the statue. How they managed to get the lightning done good, concidering this should be lightning from a very icy and snowy area with reflections all over the place with no direct sunlight.

Try again, but with less QQ and more Know know.

I don't understand why reporters get press passes to go to the Super bowl either. Sure it gets the game on TV, builds hype, and allowed multibillion dollars of ad revenue.. but what about the little guy working a 9 to 5. Such bullshit. I deserved to be on the field with Tom Brady. I paid for NFL pass after all.

First of all, it's 'know how', not 'know know'. You're embarrassing yourself.

And second of all; Sourced lighting, in miniature painting, is the technique of adding the illusion of a part of the miniature being a source of light. In the case of Arthas and WarCraft Undead, this would be applicable to the Runes on Frostmourne and Arthas' eyes, as well as the eyes of the skeletons, as they are shown to emit a strong icy-blue glow.

You can see the effect at work in this still from the WOTLK intro cinematic. Arthas' eyes glow blue, and it is reflected on the trim of his helmet, as it would in real life. And here you can see it in action on a professionally painted miniature.

What you are talking about in your utter ignorance is simple highlighting, the process of adding depth to a paint job by applying highlights and shades to otherwise flat surfaces. On this statue, you can best see it at work in the miserably painted cloak, done by drybrushing. Poorly, one might add.

Here you can see just how poor the paint job is best. He's fucking crosseyed. Not only is the signature glow effect missing, you can clearly see the different highlights. No blending applied. Second, the gold is poorly applied, there's a clear black line of seperation between the gold of the trim and the armour, with parts of the trim outright missing the gold.

This is an outright shitty paint job. It might be sufficient for whatever standard is applicable for these trash-tier quality collectibles, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a shitty paint job.

to be fair they have released like... 8 arthas things in the past 2 years, i think it had to do with the wotlk aniversary, and also how shadowlands also has to do with the helm, kinda co-incidence. but who knows he may be back, if so im fucking hyped.

I don't know, maybe coming from tabletop gaming I'm used to a different level of quality, but saying this thing has an amazing amount of detail when I have Miniatures the size of my index finger with more and better detail on my desk right here, right now, is somewhat weird to me. This is Alpharius, Primarch of the Alpha Legion. He's 5 inches tall, and will set you back 100€. Obviously, he comes unpainted. And him being a Space Marine means that he's somewhere in the middle ground in regards of detail...

Can you get a version of this picture that is closer up+higher quality, cause its hard to get a good look at the detail without it getting pixelated. It is VERY detailed, but its also pretty zoomed out.

and so lets go over this real quick

100euros, which is about 120USD for a 5 inch figure.

So lets say we times that by 5 to make it equal to the arthas statue size, but wait thats only height, not width... so times that even more.

oh wait then its unpainted, you need to paint it yourself, or hire someone to paint it?

Yeah that figure your showed there, if it was the same size of the arthas statue, it would likely cost about 4000$

As with the 5 inch tall figure, if we assume it has the same dimensional shape and generally same weight ratio, then we times the 120USD by the square of making it 5 times taller... Oh look 3000$ just for the figure! then you gotta pay someone to paint a massive statue like this.

the ratio of this 5 inch statue, being 25 times smaller (In total square inches) then the arthas statue. but only a 10th the price, you can see right there, its 250% more expensive.... ish.

but hey if you wanna compare detail i would love to, we just need a more up close look of the statue you linekd htere, as that is still at a pretty distance.

Cause reminder this much detail is in https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/scree...al/1019783.jpg
This much area on the statue, that much detail on the tiny bottom of the thing. https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/scree...al/1019775.png

    https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/scree...al/1019787.jpg the detail is stunning.
