Mythic+ Season 2 introduces increased item levels for rewards and new mounts, along with a new dungeon affix: Tormented Servants of the Jailer. Shadowlands Season 1 to End on June 28 in NA (June 29 in EU)

While previous seasons have ended when realms were taken offline for maintenance, we’ve chosen to set this season to end a few hours earlier, at a time that should be more convenient for most players.

Shadowlands Season 2 will begin the week of July 6 with the weekly reset in each region.

Please note – the Shadowlands Season 1 PvP Illusion Sinful Flame won’t be available in Season 2, which will reward the new Unchained Fury Illusion. So if you’re close to the required 2100 rating, now’s the time to push!

It is amazing that people honestly believed it wouldn't release until August or even later.

Just in time for 4th of July weekend.

Can't believe people said August or September. I am still surprised that it's close to the start of BC Arena though. Maybe they expect fast burnout.

If only I can care enough to return... Been unsubbed since January and I don't see any reason to return, with me quitting I feel left behind as it is. I think I'd wait until the next expansion at this point, this expansion theme sadly hasn't gripped me at all.

    'bout fucking time lol.
Guess I will have 12 days to get to max level in FF14 before I put that on the backburner in favor of 9.1

I am happy for the 5 people still playing Shadowlands. Have fun doing chores again.

I honestly feel like for players like myself who have since long been unsubbed, there is absolutely nothing in this patch to make you want to re-sub. It's litterally the same grinds, the same Maw and 1 new dungeon to spam for another 9 months...

This is one time i'm happy to be wrong. The devs really couldn't afford to wait much longer.

Good for those still excited about 9.1 and SL

    7. Fucking. Months. For a single dungeon and an uninspiring raid that everyone will blow through in a couple weeks.

This game might not be dead, but any pride that Blizzard once took in developing it certainly is.

Yes, because nothing interfered with the development. Nope, nothing at all, business as usual. It's all about a lack of "pride" and them just not being bothered, not even to make money off the title!

August was a pessimistic timeframe. July was realistic. This is a bit earlier than expected and will very likely be a buggy mess at release.

For reference in a similar time frame for past expans we also normally get. 1 zone, two if we’re lucky like with bfa, one full size raid, two if we’re lucky, 1-2 dungeons or a mega dungeon.

No expan has ever been lucky in both the raid and zone department and no expan before cata got both a raid and a zone.

As far as “pride goes” it would seem like there inline with tower expans on average when looking at raw months if not the spread of those releases.

Given we don't even have a release candidate build on the PTR yet, I honestly didn't seeing it coming. Maybe they deliberately held off on marking the last build as release candidate to surprise us.

I would've guessed first week of July at the earliest, but I certainly won't knock it. I've long been craving new content, and TBC managed to hold my interest for less than 2 weeks. I honestly found it more entertaining to level my shaman during prepatch than all the TBC content I did.
