Hey guys! Just wanted to take some time to set some expectations ahead of time when it comes to all of the announcements and discussions when it comes to what we’ll be talking about at BlizzCon this weekend, as well as remind everybody of some changes when it comes to security this year for attendees.

As you all are probably aware, we’ve been hard at work on the upcoming Tides of Vengeance content update. We are very excited for this update and it is very much our immediate focus and will continue to be until after we’ve delivered it to you all. At BlizzCon you’ll be hearing us talk mainly about what comes after Tides of Vengeance. We do plan on discussing some of it, but as many of you know, BlizzCon is where we typically talk about longer term goals and plans. The feedback you all have given us about Battle for Azeroth is something we are very grateful for and we can’t wait for you to experience everything coming with Tides of Vengeance.

For those at home on the Virtual Ticket, please let us know what you think about all the things we share that are upcoming for World of Warcraft.

As for the security updates I mentioned earlier, we recently posted a blog on the BlizzCon site that I want to mirror to increase awareness. We’ve enhanced our security this year so I want to make sure to mention that you guys should look at arriving earlier than previous years especially if you’re wanting to catch the opening ceremony live on Friday.

As for the measures we’ve added Metal Detectors as well as Bag Checks at every point of entrance this year. For any additional information about locations of entrances, ADA accessibility, cosplay check-ins, and restrictions, please check out the post on the BlizzCon site about the updates to the usual processes this year:

Battle for Azeroth Dungeon Event
This week's bonus event is the Battle for Azeroth Dungeon Event.

  • All week long the final boss of each Battle for Azeroth Dungeon will drop an extra piece of loot.
  • Pick up the quest Emissary of War from either your Adventure Journal or in your faction hub. Completing this quest rewards Cache of Uldir Treasures which contains a piece of heroic Uldir loot and a large sum of Azerite power.

Call to Arms: Drustvar
This week's Call to Arms is Call to Arms: Drustvar or Call to Arms: Drustvar. Head to Drustvar with warmode enabled to kill 10 players of the opposing faction. This will reward you with conquest and 75 reputation for either 7th Legion or The Honorbound.


Island Expeditions for Week of October 30th, 2018
The islands expeditions for the week are Dread Chain, Whispering Reef and Un'gol Ruins!

US users should submit questions on the US forum and EU users should submit questions on the EU forum.

On Saturday, November 3 from 3:30 p.m. PDT to 4:30 p.m. PDT on the Main Hall (D) stage at BlizzCon 2018, Lead World of Warcraft developers will answer questions from both attendees and those who submit questions online.

If you have a question you'd like answered at the Q&A, submit it as a reply to this thread.

This thread will close to new submissions at 6:00 p.m. PDT on November 2.

Here are some things to remember when submitting a question:

  • It's important to keep your question brief and to the point so that we can get to as many as we can.
  • If you see a question in this thread you would like an answer to, please feel free to "Like" or upvote it.
  • We anticipate there will be a lot of questions. With so many, we won't be able to ask them all, but we'll do the best we can.
  • Please make sure you're asking a question versus making a statement.

    • Necrotic Aura, Heartstop Aura, and Decomposing Aura will no longer interrupt actions such as scrapping and crafting.

      • Fixed a bug that caused Pure of Heart to remove Poison and Disease effects more often than intended with items and enchants such as Coastal Surge.

  • On “Boarder Patrol”, Ornery Battleboars will now disappear in a huff if you hop off them.

Emissary Reward Buff Hotfix - 2000 Gold / 1600 AP
Blizzard has hotfixed Emissary Rewards in all regions to provide 2000 gold (up from 700) and 1600 AP (up from 1000).
