266.58 driver complications.

Recently I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers (266.58) to solve various stability issues within other games, but after the update my framerate in WoW is now absolutely abysmal. My fps should never be below room temperature! >:0
Anyway, in areas where I was experiencing 120-160 fps I'm now dragging along at a meager 20 or below with no related hardware or software alterations. I was wondering if anyone else was afflicted by such small numbers/has found a solution before I revert to older versions.

Readings during play(not that these are particularly relevant):
CPU usage: max of 18%
CPU temp: max of 46C
GPU1 usage: max of 16%
GPU2 usage: max of 12%
GPU1 temp: max of 75 C
GPU2 temp: max of 68 C

Specs:
i7 940 - 3.5ghz
12gigs ddr3 1333
Asus P6T
2 x GTX 285OC (manufacturer OC, no tampering)
Kingwin Mach1 1000 watt
3 x 640 gig HDs in RAID 5
OCZ vertex 2 100 gig (Contains WoW)

Aha! That's a solution I hadn't thought of, even though the likelihood of the problem being identified and rectified in a later release is low. Thanks! And yes I always update drivers with proper etiquette.

Note: for an unknown reason WoW is incorrectly displaying framerates with this driver. The actual fps as indicated by my 3rd party monitor is back to normal, though.

I had to revert back to the previous version driver due to shocking framerates in wow and Dragonage 2 and others.
