I know that the BIS including Heroic Rag goes 4 piece T12 + Heroic Breastplate of Shifting Visions. What I'm trying to find out is how does 4 piece T12 + Heroic Greathelm of the Voracious Maw stack up if I'm not able to get Heroic T12 Helm off Heroic Ragnaros?

The 4pc t12 set bonus is aprox 2% DPS increase, so a 2% dps increase will be better than the stat loss.

I'm pretty sure the OP isn't considering dropping the 4pc bonus...

The question on hand is:
How much of a dps loss is using H Greathelm + H tier chest VS H shifting Visions + N tier helm.

The answer is rather easy to obtain, it's simple math.
Just multiply the stat differences by their corresponding stat weights.

Edit: Actually, you also need to account for maintaining your hit/exp caps as I think a few of those pieces contain them.
