Awesome! Any info on the story yet?
was excited since i heard it a few months ago
It's taken far too long to release honestly. I was excited when I heard about it almost a year ago. When I found out there was no estimated release date and that at best they were counting on fall 2012, I just said screw it.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
No one else disapointed? I liked the old series with Aang, i'm not keen on new main characters replacing old ones in anything.
sweet!! though i am little sad that the story is no longer focused on aang.
And not that im hatin but...i dont know how i feel about a main character that is a girl lol
peace.
yip yip
Set 70 years after the first series, it follows Korra, the newest avatar, who has already learned fire, water and earth bending at the time of the start of the story. She goes to learn air bending from Aang and Katar's son. The main plot seems to involve an anti-bending rebel group that Korra must stop.
It seems to be a smaller story, taking place mostly in one city called Republic City that was created by Aang and Zuko as a place for all four nations. Biggest theme sounds likely to be the battle of the old ways, bending, against the newly emerging technical boom and lots of steampunk-like weapons and tools.
Not really. Aang's story was already told. I like that it gives a chance for a totally new story with a new character. One of the biggest themes of Avatar was the idea of growing up and taking responsibility for ones actions. Aang has already learned that lesson so any new story involving him would not be all that interesting from a character perspective.
I know I can watch it on the internet but will it be on Nickelodeon like the old series?
Hi Sephurik
It looks like it'll be pretty good. I don't think it'll top the first series but it'll give it a run for it's money.
Meanwhile, back on Azeroth, the overwhelming majority of the orcs languished in internment camps. One Orc had a dream. A dream to reunite the disparate souls trapped under the lock and key of the Alliance. So he raided the internment camps, freeing those orcs that he could, and reached out to a downtrodden tribe of trolls to aid him in rebuilding a Horde where orcs could live free of the humans who defeated them so long ago. That orc's name was... Rend.
I've known about this for awhile, super excited for it!!!
