    Skyrim into a MMO?

Now ive been playing skyrim constantly, Im loving it and its just a overall greeeeat game. Easily one of the best ive evvvvvver played. Now i went through some of the earlier forum posts trying to find one like mine so i didnt overpost the topic, couldnt find it so here it is

Will skyrim/ Skyrim developers ever consider taking skyrim/future games they create like it into a MMO scene?

    Is that even possible today?

Ive played WoW for many years but it sorta has been killing me lately but im still not bored so skyrim is a breath of fresh wind!

I can see some of the hardships of taking it to a MMO but the END product would be just breath taking, specially on ultra settings....id prolly play in a porta potty because id shit myself every time i played.

    Thanks guys! much love!

edit: I worded this weird from what i ment, I didnt mean take skyrim and convert it straight into a MMO, i ment take the style like skyrim (the looks, the quests, the play style) and make a whoole new series not even using the elder scrolls name. because i LOVE my single player combat thats why ive liked diablo so well is because i can play single player and not be forced to play multiplayer to progress (wow) I just feel that if the creaters of skyrim sat down and made a MMO based off the gameplay and style of skyrim it would be leaps and bounds better. And on the other side keep the integrity of the elder scrolls series to itself as a seperate division aka WoW and Diablo

No, the reason people love skyrim is because it's sandbox, change that you destroy the game. Personally i don't like sandbox style games and i don't enjoy skyrim, thats my personal taste. But i can appreciate and understand why people do love it so much.

I imagine if you sat down each fan of the elder scrolls series each one would have a different reason as to why they love games like skyrim, to move away from that just to reiterate would destroy that love.

Appreciate the game for what it is.

Tamriel in its entirety would make an amazing MMO if delivered correctly. I love all elder scrolls and its lore, but I wonder in a world where you are always the sole bad ass, how it would translate to an MMO. It'd need like an Old Republic storyline many years ahead/behind where it is now, where eg. Dovahkiins were many.

A major reason that the Elder Scrolls series is so appealing is because it is a single player game. That being said, if they did an MMO version of ES that took place in the entirety of Tamriel instead of one section, it might be decent...

I still think I'd prefer it to stay single player though, there's not enough good single player RPGs as it is.

There's a Fallout MMO in the pipeline, but a legal dispute over who gets to develop it.

Could probably be something we see in the future.

That's the thing about single-player games. They are amazing for a short period of time, like a cake. But imagine eating nothing but cakes for a prolonged period of time - not as fun as it sounds.

i keep thinking the same thing everytime i play... but also... how would developers fix the ingame pause while you change your weapon, magic spells, enchants etc???

I would love to see this happen, but then again I wouldn't because Skyrim is such a beautiful game that I don't want any fuckstick douchebags ruining my gaming experience.

Yea i feel you on that, But maybe if they take the STYLE of skyrim and convert it into something worth while and work out some kinks. I love skyrim as a sandbox game and a single player because personally id rather do single player then multi-player some days. But id just like to see them put the thought out there and see what people say and do with it

I would hate this. There were rumours floating around after Oblivion that Elder Scrolls 5 would be an MMO and I think it's safe to say that the majority of the Elder Scrolls Community did not like this idea.
The reason I play (and I'm sure there are others like me) Elder Scrolls is because it is not an MMO. It offers a level of immersion that an MMO could never offer, and I for one would like to see it stay that way.

Agree here 100% I was not very captivated by the game, it looks great but Sandbox is not for me. Making it into an MMO would take away the that very unique feel that players seem to be flocking to in droves.

Co-op yes, MMO no. I don't want to a million herp derps ruining my country side. Hell, make like it like Demon's/Dark Souls where you are only a "visitor" to the host world, meaning you can help them accomplish task but have no real impact on their world.

I agree with you, I like my single player combat i like my single player playstyle i like all of that, im just saying that if elder scrolls went into a MMO-field even if they didnt USE the elderscrolls storyline but used the looks and feel of it, it could be a very competative MMO

As long as there is ZERO PVP. It would be passable, bosses would be a clusterfuck though. I would personally set it in between Morrowind and Oblivion time line wise though.

TES as a MMO would have to keep all its Sandbox characteristics, its the only reason people like the game in the first place, you choose what you want to become and what path to follow.

So highly doubtful it wil ever happen.

But a Co-op up to 4 people would be more realistic, all they had to do is create harder and longer dungeons

Looks like someone is working on a co-op mod.

Not so much an MMO I think, but Co-op, 2,3,4 players would be great. It is a really great game, and it would be really great fun to actually share it playing with some friends.
