Any sites like Youtube that are still good?

I spend a ton of time on Youtube, but recently they have done incredibly stupid things that make me dislike the site. =\

-making it so 80% of the screen is taken up but things you aren't interested in
-irremovable featured channels and videos
-no friends list
-even more ads x.x (there were already a ton of ads so wtf?)
-crappy looking new channel layouts.

Basically I am just looking for a Social Media site that hasn't taken the Social out of Social Media. =\

I have like 3 different ad blockers and I am still plagued by ads.

Also the no friends list things pretty annoying =\

I don't think youtube was ever a "social media" site. I'm rather glad they're moving back to reinforce their roots of being a video hosting site, instead of being a faux facebook.

That being said, vimeo > youtube.

Oh and Lightgil I thought youtube did have a friends list?

What kind of videos you looking for in particular, because I know quite a few sites but generally for specific types, like gaming, vlogs, fights etc

well theres an ad bar at the bottom of every video, theres ads when the video starts, when it ends, and every single time that I change the time line it plays another ad

Remove adds with Mozilla Browser + AddBlock Plus addon (I don't even knew there were any Youtube adds)

I watch as many as 20 videos a day and never have I seen an ad.

as has been said, grab firefox and adblockplus, guess it filters out the ads on videos too, hmm, wonder if any of my videos have ads, or do i have to "apply" or be asked /shrug

Think you have to check the run ads on my videos thing. I'm not sure
