is diablo supposed to be playable at midnight the 15th or noon the 14th ?

This is a truly "global" approach to the release.
And I dont know why it is confusing to people. Your region's copy of D3 is starting at Midnight in whatever time belt was picked as "main" for your region. For Europe, it seems to be Central Europe Time, for US is West coast.
So step a) Figure out which region you live in; step b) Figure out what the main timebelt for your region is; step c) Calculate the offset
EDIT:
No, servers are region locked. People who own American version of D3 will -not- be able to play before Midnight PST. They will remove the region lock later, after every region has it.But we americans can play earlier on EU server right? (with our US account)

No, global launch is once all zones have opened. You'll be able to install the game at 8:01AM PDT but you won't be able to join the EU servers until the Americas servers have come up. Originally Posted by Marooned

OMG. Blizzard did not know there is different lunch time, but really Just because it relasece the 15, and for ones not 4 days before in the US. Fast go report it to there officel page, i am sure you will get a medal " sacasmen off" i cant see what the problem is, EVERYTHING get relased before in the US, look at patch day, and yes i can understand that it feels a bit stupid, but we get it the 15, just like you, we dont " get it before" we get it at the same time, (ish)

Anyway, I expect Battlenet to crash and login not to be available for at least 3-4 hours until they fix it. (see stress test in Open Beta or each x-pack release in WoW). Hopefully, all will be able to play in good conditions on the 16th

This is wrong, I read that the Servers will go live at 12:00 AM May 15th PDT.
