    So what is Monk's playstyle?

Almost every class-talent differs in playstyle. I'm curious how will Monk differs from the class-talent combination that are already in the game.

Tank warrior uses shield for damage absorption, DK uses parry & self heals while bear uses dodge. (mainly..)
In pvp warrior is more anti-melee while DK is more anti-caster. (again.. mainly)

There are a lot more examples but you get the idea. What's "staple" about monk's playstyle other than the new resource system?

It'll probably be 2hander staff for Brewmaster which is the tank spec, and them using alot of dodge I would imagine. At least that would make sense. Lightning fast reflexes!

How about the dps spec? Anyone can shed some light on their playstyle? What's different from warrior/dk/ret pally/rogue/ench shaman etc...

My feeling is that it's quite interesting and dynamic, close to what they described (kind of "mashing the buttons" eventhough it can't be seriously compared to a fighting game like SF4 ^^).

You have to try using your abilities to avoid overcaping your ressources (ie avoiding to Jab while having only one Chi "slot" remaining and avoiding to stay at 100 energy) while using the Combo Breaker's procs and the high damage abilities on CD (Fists of Fury, Rising Sun Kick). For a peak of what could be a rotation, check the last post I made here. I don't pretend it's a perfect rotation but I think this might be close to the optimal one.

For the dps part it really feel like a punchy no-stealth rogue (imo imo imo imo, don't start "no it is not" I don't care)

mistweaver: has a high precision healing spell which can be channeled. should do moderate amount of damage if played how blizzard want them to be played.

brewmaster: drunken dude who's just dodging your attacks. damage taken is split up into two parts because of shuffle and stagger. the dot part (stagger) can be cleansed.

windwalker: he is the kung fu dude. beats his opponent's ass with kicks and punches. while being extremely agile and mobile it's hard to nail him down. go watch some bruce lee movies and you'll know what i mean. should be more anti-caster than anti-melee, but my guess is that he can handle both "classes" very well. he has some reasonable ranged attacks which are really useful like spinning fire blossom.

playing one in the beta, i can tell you that he has a very unique playstyle.

This is all just speculation from observations on my part:

    Windwalker
A selection of abilities for being able to stay in melee combat with a variation of cooldowns and passives to adjust to the situation in battles. Also lots of punching and kicking, almost to the point of no rest time.

    Brewmaster
The first tank that will not have a high armor rating, but has a lot of damage reduction passives, and uses self healing and damage absorptions. Also, even though the focus base stat for avoidance is agility, it will do a lot of parrying.

    Mistweaver
The choice of being able to melee in order to heal, or staying back for the tradtional style healing with a lot of healing channeling, healing over time, short casting and instant cast healing. Choose to favor being in close or staying back, and mixing both styles to adjust for the situation. Without Zen Sphere, it will be difficult to heal more than 5 raid members at once.

Basically, Monk's niche will be to be able to melee in all 3 specs, have a lot of mobility, lots of punching and kicking, and a selection of crowd control abilities without any restriction types (i.e. Humanoids, Beast, Undead, Mechanical, etc.)

Brewmaster - The first official dodge tank.

Windwalker - Very mobile, also has a lot of situational moves (frontal cone aoe, straight line stun, a few ranged attacks)

Mistweaver - Heals based on Melee Damage. Also has a lot of "bouncing" heals.
    FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)

I'd say more 'avoidance' tank than pure dodge tank Dokh. Don't forget they will have HIGH parry due to Mastery + BoK's effect.

p.s. your predictions for the rest are wow are pretty sick I wouldn't mind them coming true... minus the Bard bit....

Will there be a lot of buttons to be managed a Monk?
Examples are hunter & warlock.. the number of buttons they've to manage compared to a DK is A LOT!

The resource system of Monk seems to be like Rogue. I like rogue.. however due to my latency I'm always having trouble getting behind people. It'd be nice to play a class with similar resource system, not having to go behind people all the time but not have tons of buttons to press. (I'm not that coordinated..)

Monks, especially DPS and tank, don't have a lot of buttons. It's the way you use those few and how good at managing your procs / buffs that defines the quality of your gameplay, from my experience. Also, in DPS, I feel like ressource management might be challenging (in a good way,but if you have latency it may be frustrating for you).

    What were Druids then?

Monks feel like the other leather classes tbh (mainly rogue/feral/windwalker/brewmaster comparison), they have alot of mobility and decent control. Monks have less control then Feral/Rogue though, but they still bring a decent amount. Their resource system is pretty unique and it feels like a more modern version of combo points, maybe that's just me.

I imagine a monk play style would be a combo of a paladin and a priest in terms of healing.
