Question Which SSD should I buy?

Hey guys, I've been looking to upgrade to an ssd for a while now, and I went browsing newegg to see what the prices were. I heard and OCZ Agility 3 was a really good one. I also found a OCZ Vortex 3 and I'm unsure which one to buy, or even if there are better ones out there. I will link the ones I was looking at. If I could get some input on which one to get, I would greatly appreciate it!

I'd personally suggest one of the following, I cannot with good moral standing in my heart suggest an Agility 3 or Vertex 3. (Personal experience with the Agility 3, which has the same controller as the Vertex 3.)

    Crucial m4 128GB
    Samsung 830 128GB
    Intel 520 120GB

These three have had the least problems and their companies have also shown some of the best customer support.

Other brands I would trust as well, are Corsair, Mushkin, and Kingston.

Yes. Upon your return, I will gift you a beautiful flower."

    Those 3 are great drives.

I would steer clear of OCZ. I have a Vertex and a Vertex 3. The Vertex has been replaced 2 times under warranty and the Vertex 3 will start giving me BSOD after 2 to 3 months of use causing me to reinstall Windows. This has happened on 3 separate and completely different builds.

Why is the intel 128gb so much more then the Crucial m4? Arn't they both 6gb per second?

Samsung has a deal where you get Ghost Recon for free with the purchase of an 830: http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/05/s...s-ssd-purchas/

Edit: Deal is for the US and Canada

I have the Intel 520, and it's great. No issues, fast as hell.

I just bought Crucial 128 GB m4 and love it. Super fast, and no problems

An extra 2 year warranty and brand. The Intel drive is also slightly better but most won't notice the difference in real world applications.

The problem w/ all 3 of those, is they also sold a lot less. Anything w/ sandforce was pretty floppity, now OCZ is going w/ an in house controller. Crucial M4 is probably your best option, Mushkin is decent but cheap SSD's worry me.

Cheap SSDs? The price is going down to a price war, with the top best brands lowering their prices so the brands that can't so easily lower their prices are driven out of the memory/SSD market. This is also being seen with RAM.

OCZ still uses the SandForce controller in the Agility 3 and Vertex 3, which are what the OP posted, not the Vertex 4.

The Vertex 4 is looking pretty sweet. I'm thinking about that for my new Ivy Bridge rig.

Hey all! Thanks for giving me all the suggestions, I decided to go with the Crucial M4, I've heard good things about it too. Hopefully I made the right decision
