If you don't have a sub, I think you should turn it off, since it's not doing much for you anyway.
But yeah, I believe you should set it to around 80, or maybe a bit more. Check the graph on the back.

Well the 80Hz-23KHz is on the back of my Samsons, but let's see, on the back of the Logitech sub... yeah figures it would say nothing.

    The newegg page http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121122

    Has this: Frequency response: 35Hz - 20kHz

Do you think that is just across all the speakers including the sub, because it doesn't say frequency response on speakers and on sub. =S

I just don't want to blow anything out. >_>

    Dude...what did I just read o_O

Anyway my Corsair K90 and SP2500's have arrived! Burning the speakers in right now, blasting some Pendulum and Nightwish. Mother of god the sub is gigantic, you could kill someone by dropping it on them.

K90's mechanical feel is also rather strange since I've never used such mech switches before. Will take getting used to but overall it does feel better for gaming and typing.

Pics arriving soon in gaming setup thread.

    lol

I just never cared much for low frequency stuff, but more-so when listening to music. I don't care too much. I'm not obsessed with having the biggest subs/woofers in town. :P Like, I just need enough bass and then idfc otherwise.

I got used to the K90 instantly. :P It actually wasn't too much different from my Logitech G15 v2, as crazy as it sounds.

To me bass is important, but I care more about it's depth and quality rather than raw earth-shaking power which sounds like some idiot slamming a car door :P

Exactly why I went for Senn IE7's instead of Klipsch or TF/UE's (I listen to most of my music on the move), moderate bass but richly detailed and ofcourse an amazing soundstage which is pretty hard to get in earbuds.

I know I should buy a sub to go along with my studio monitors, but I just don't know which to get. I mean, I don't want it to overpower the little 3" babies. :P These things might get loud but they are bloody small, too.

My 4a came with a sub suggestion (obviously from samson as well =p) in the manual. Check yours, it's probably there.

If your monitors can sing and tweet the highs and mids really clearly, I see no harm in doing them some justice with an independent sub!

I'm sure your monitors do a pretty sweet job of bass but being monitors their job is to be as flat and accurate as possible. It's up to you really. Having an independing sub can really make the bass and lows stand out, for me it was a neccesity. I needed to feel the BF3 explosions at my feet :P

    haha

well in the manual they suggest the Samson Resolv sub88 subwoofer, but it looks like it is no where to be found, not even on Samson's website. -.-

I just wonder if this would be too big.

    http://www.samsontech.com/samson/pro...lv/resolv120a/

    The sub88 isn't even on Amazon. >_>

    Aaaaand that sub is $282.

Yea not happening anytime particularly soon in my current state of unemployment.

Apparently the Z2300s are better than I thought.

Aaaaaand. I guess 35Hz is the lowest response the Z2300s have? So I am guessing that's what I should set the flexbass at?

    Ugh!!! TERRIBLE buzzing/humming!!! >_<

SO much white noise it is unbearable!! I don't know if it's the cables or the Samson's are too good for the Logitech. But yeah. Not happening. =|

That requires reading a manual though; you lose man points if you refer to one of those

In light of not getting fired (company re-structure..) thus actually having a secure income for the coming year(s maybe), I went out and ordered an Asus GTX 670 DCII because I've been drooling over one since they came!

edit: and now later on I cancelled the order. gonna save for new laptop, makes more sense.

Long-time reader of this thread, but now first time poster! I have some questions for you guys out there about cases, more specifically the Silverstone FT02 case. I've been a big fan of it's design since the first time I saw it, and I was wondering what people's opinion on it is? And for the one's who has it, are you satisfied? Was it hard to build in?

    FT02 Album Here

All of the images with a black computer case are of the FT02

I liked it a lot, the only thing i didn't like was routing the power cables to the video card
