It would be nice to be a Mod but I've just been lurker since BC only just made and account last month out of boredom. Trying to be less shy and talk to people now!

I'm curious why do so many people want to become a mod?

I assume it's for the power but spending a lot of you're free time dealing with petty squabbling, silly questions and enforcing pedantic rules just doesn't seem worth it to infract those that break the rules and don't like, it might be fun for a day or two but that's when I think the magic would end haha.

You need a lot more posts than 3. You need to have been contributing to the forum you're looking at for a few months, at least, and have a positive and constructive posting history

I'm probably not applying this time around, but I've moderated a number of online communities and what you get out of it is knowing that you're contributing to a community that you value. I guess that sounds cheesey, but it's really not about power (for everyone).

I personally haven't seen that many "bad eggs" on these forums and i came here and post everyday as is so i figure why not do some extra good. unfortunately for me i can't apply at the moment but probably will once i can.
