[Music] Album Of The Year so far? +Last year (2011)?

I tried searching but couldn't find a topic for AOTY 2011, or 2012 so far

So in your opinion now that 2011 is now over with and you've had plenty of time to reflect on it, what was the Album of The Year last year?

Also, what is Album of The Year so far this year in your opinion? Are there any upcoming albums that you feel will be a strong candidate for AOTY?

    For me it's gotta be

    2011 :

    2012 :

What are all of your picks?

My favourite album of the year and probably the last 10 years for me. Also, one of the best live bands.

For me, nothing has really stood out. Maybe because I'm getting older and my music tastes are pretty general.. but I'm not sure I'm in love with anything yet.

If I had to make a choice..

I wanna say Metric's album "Fantasies", but it was released in 2009. It really picked up in 2010 though. Going with that.. live with it.

Edit: OOps.. nvm.. you just want the last year..

1 sec I'll make edit 2.. gotta think about it.

Edit2: I honestly can't pick an album.. It's maybe too soon. I like songs, but not big on whole albums anymore... sorry

Lex Hives anyone? I thought that was brilliant. I didn't think much of Living Things by Linkin Park. Harakiri by Serj Tankian is absolutely un-fucking-believably good. All released in the past month and a half.

Ya, everything they've done since they started that story over a few albums has been pretty win.

I absolutely go with this one for the year, only thing able to beat that would be a new system album what is highly unlikley this year

last year was: Surtur Rising by Amon Amarth and/or Unto the Locust by Machine Head
