    Yes, it is. I was just gonna test their sound a bit, but decided to record it when I heard the ticky noise. According to some, it's the fan controller causing it though. So I'm gonna have to check it a bit more thoroughly when I can.

    A quick addendum: The noise appears to be caused by the fan controller. A resistor on the cable does not produce the same kind of noise at all.

    build this pc almost a year ago from info gathered here pretty much.
    CPU + cooler: i7-2600k with a noctua dh-14 (running a lazy 4,2ghz )
    GPU: gtx 670 4gb evga (recently replaced an 570 with it which i resold for some good cash).
    PSU: Corsair 700W not sure on series.
    mobo from gigabyte , Z68x-UD3P
    case: Haf 922 (with extra 200mm and 140mm fan )
    RAM: 8gb Gskill (2x4)
    SSD: OCZ vertex 3 series
    HDD: external 1,5TB usb freecom

    combined a pair of 24" screens , razer naga, blackwidow and corsair 1500 as headset.

    no pics since not enough posts perhaps someday :P

    if you are using the controller, then yes it is the controller, my cosmos 2 did this with all of my Scythes, drove me nuts, i switched to the onboard fan controller on the R4E

    you have a 600t right? can those corsair air series fans fit in the front of the case at all? the stock 200mm fans are really loud and the air series fans are the only ones which i think i'd want to buy!
