Really lacking a striker or two, only have Defoe as of now I think with some youngsters, got a really nice midfield even if they sell Modric and decent defence lines, got a old keeper, still good but not fantastic, really needs a striker or two. Kinda want Villas-Boas to succeed and fail since he's at tottenham :P
If Spurs can get, as you mentioned, one or two strikers, I could see them having a very good season. If what Sky Sports are saying about the Modric transfer to Real Madrid are true, then they're getting much less than they would have wanted, but could still get them a good striker or two.

Aye, thats kinda the point as it stands now they only have defoe and thats not enough at all.

I'v been impressed with Newcastle this summer, Anita looks to be a good signing but more importantly they have kept all their best players. It would have been easy for Mike Ashley to make a decent amount of cash from selling the likes of Cisse, Tiote, Ba and Cabaye but he's kept them all and looks to be adding a few good players to the squad. Their still negotiating for Debuchy to he will be a brilliant signing if they can get him.

Im interested to see how Ben Arfa does this year I think he's a quality player and has the ability to play for a top club, they have done some good business in recent years id be well happy if I was a Newcastle fan selling Andy Carroll was the best decision ever :P

Wondering to stick with Vidic on my shirt, or go with Van Persie this season.

    In more depressing news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19292797

Glad to see Redknapp there, at least one Redknapp is decent at punditry, but Mick McCarthy is just depressing. It's bad enough having Lawrenson but now we get that prat -.-

Van Persie will get injured in his first game with Man U and will be out for 9 months, where he will play in one of the final games of the season to be injured again.

    Good ridence glass legs.

To be fair, considering the way you guys had him leave the club I'm surprised made it to Manchester in one piece.

I bet there wasn't even any padding inside there.

OP rewritten, links are up and a few extra prediction questions for you all to mull over.

Kick off in under 24 hours for the EPL, but of course it really doesn't get interesting till Monday

I think I know now, I missed this in your post: “While I obviously can't wish you all the best of luck, just the United supporters, I hope everyone can have fun and enjoy the next 9 months!“

    I'll try your predictions!

I guess the biggest success and flop is going to be subjective and I hope that they are weighted by whats expected to what happened.

    1. What will be the top four finishing in the EPL:
    1. Man Utd
    2. Man City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Tottenham

    2. Champs League winner: Barcelona
    3. PFA Player of the year: Vidic
    4. Writers player of the year: Parker
    5. Top Premiership Scorer: Rooney (Was tempted to say Defoe as that maybe the only up front for spurs and they will make a lot of chances)
    6. Best transfer: Podolski (hate to say it but filling in for RVP ....)
    7. Biggest transfer flop: Oscar
    8. Who will be relegated from the EPL: Wigan, Southampton, West Ham

    Man City
    Man Utd
    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    2. Champs League winner:
This one is tougher, Id like to think one of the English clubs. Man City maybe? Theyve got to mature at some point.
    3. PFA Player of the year:
    Scott Parker
    4. Writers player of the year:
    Scott Parker
    5. Top Premiership Scorer:
    RvP
    6. Best transfer:
Adebayor (can I say that even though we havent bought him? ) <- If that doesnt happen, RvP.
    7. Biggest transfer flop:
    Hazzard
    8. Who will be relegated from the EPL:
    QPR
    Norwich
    Wigan

Fuck all y'all "premiership" types, the real football fans are heading out to lower league matches tomorrow - Rangers v East Stirlingshire for me, first time in god knows how long we've had 2 kickoffs at the proper time (3pm on a Saturday) in a row!
    Koodledrum - Balnazzar EU - 85 Priest - Retired.
