It is a gain if you have to delay DS more than 20s for every spec. So in most cases, it's a loss, because you want to use it on cd.

As of now I have two proc based trinkets and running affliction as my main, so I guess with the right timing I might hold onto DS, and in this case the glyph might be useful...

You almost never delay DS because of trinkets, only because of encounter mechanics.

I used it while levelling up since I wasn't using Dark Soul as much... but other than that there isn't that much use to the glyph.
