You owe me a new monitor. Mine has a fist-sized hole half-way through it.
That's pretty insane, nice work, but could you not have done that with pony art or something? :S

Hey guys, my brother's computer has been crashing to a blue screen every couple of hours for a while now and we're sort of stumped on what to do next after exhausting multiple options.
I could go into a lot more detail than that but I'm not sure if MMOC's computer subforum is the right place to ask, are there that many people here that would actually want to spend time helping me comb through crash dump files?
I just wanted to know whether it would be appropriate to make a topic here or whether you know any tech support sites that would be more receptive (and have better guidelines about what information exactly they want, I think I've got it but I don't know for sure!)
A good idea is to list speccs.
However, RAM issues in general, overheating, undervolting, poor BIOS on mobo/GPU, having had the Crucial M4 for over a year without the updated firmware, having an OCZ-SSD at all, damaged windows installation.
Those are some of the causes of repetetive BSODs.
Yeah I know what the general causes can be, I was just wondering if these forum are actually generally used for that kind of tech support or if I should be looking somewhere else.
If it is I'll just go and post something more useful.
Depends on what you mean by "tech support" you ask a question and we hopefully can answer it.
Playing since 2007.
Post a thread in Computer forum with information and we may be able to help.
So who's having fun with Pandaland!

I'm having a weird issue with my GPU atm... Every few minutes the screen freezes for about 5 secs, I hear 4 beeps, and everything is responsive again. "AMD driver has been restored" is what it says afterwards. Anyone have any exp with this?
@Imnick, that usually means that people arent sure what is causing your problem.
OT: I just found out that I can get windows 8 for $14.99 instead of 39.99, makes it somewhat more tempting to try.

Well, they don't really get that hot either lol.
Haven't seen this posted anywhere: http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic...5_of_workforce
Thoughts? If the restructuring doesn't work it could be very bad for everyone if there is only one viable company for desktop CPUs (Intel) and GPUs (NVIDIA)...
