It's not so much that all of them have to be nice. It's the fact that there's a surprisingly large number of them who aren't. Given a community styled like theirs, everybody knows everybody, and should treat each other as such.

Have no idea either. I just know that this shit will happen again in 2 years (not presidential elections, but still will happen), and it irritates me. Maybe a bit less than the presidential elections did, as I can easily escape the midterm ones.
