United States Energy Independence - Natural Gas, Oil, Next?

The United States is slated to become energy independent by the year 2035, thanks to bipartisan efforts in multiple administrations. We should be a net exporter of natural gas by 2020 and a net exporter of oil by 2035.

What would we do next? What's next? Solar? Nuclear? Wind?

We already have working 3rd generation reactors. Molten salt tech is still only a prototype and 20 years away.

We'll be energy independant at great cost. Destroying our own environment.
