Great comment, made zero sense, glad you decided to post.

I play Ele / resto shaman main, and generally do heroics as Ele, but I can honestly say I havn't encountered this yet, this xpac. Though I havn't done a lot of heroics since the first few weeks after launch. But no, I havn't been subject to what you're asking.

Mhm nop, if a piece drops that I need then I need on it and simply ignores the few ppl who actually bother to cry about it.

Link Elemental Precision from your spellbook and that's it. You shouldn't care for a minute. If their ignorance causes problems, let it be their problem.

yaeh, healers still seem to no be able to wrap their head around spirit=hit conversion for some classes even tho it's been this way for soo long now...

Well, it made sense to me because the only healers that would bitch that he rolled on mail spirit gear would be shamans and they should know it is viable for Ele just as much as it is for Resto or you would think, so they are insinuating that he must be rolling on cloth and leather spirit gear.

So do they whine when they don't share your armor class? As in, a Druid, Priest, or Paladin complains that you don't need spirit? That makes 0 sense to me. Not like they would've used the gear.

I can sort of understand if you're grouped with a resto shaman, but even then yeah, they need to learn their class a bit better. Spirit is not just a healing stat, haha.

i know your pain ^_^ although it does have its advantages. Was in a heroic last night on my elem shammy and the healer rolls on a cloack with Hit on it. Fine says i well see how this plays for you. Last boss drops a spirit weapon and the karma gods decided that i deserved it more then the healer. You should have seen the hissy fit he threw (i already had a 463 staff) i just calmly stated that offspec rolling was obviously allowed otherwise why would a healer take a hit cloak? He rage quit before i could offer a swap.

So yeah youll get entitled healers who still havent twigged that spirit is no longer their sole domain but occasionally it will give you the ability to strike back at healers taking gear for their offspec

or trinkets, rings, necklaces, cloaks, and weapons.

As Ele, you won't usually run into a lot of loot trouble other than weapons or if the healer is also a Shaman.

Go ask tanks how they like DPS whining about them rolling on 'their' items. I've already been kicked from groups for rolling on Exp/Haste items or such with my Prot Pally .

Quite frankly, drop chance on ele/resto gear needs increased lmao. Geared my monk in 1/5 the time i geared my shaman, could have been luck but eugh, mail seems so rare.

Elemental shamans and shadow priests are the scum of the earth, from the perspective of a healer. When I was gearing up my holy paladin, I just votekicked every ele shaman I saw or left the group. Not worth it to go with a group where one of the DPS will be rolling against you on loot.

Nothing more frustrating than doing gate of the setting sun for the 20th time, only to see the *only* weapon available to a holy paladin drop, for the 10k dps elemental shaman to need on it even though he has a bunch of other options available to him; more efficient, and less frustrating, to get rid of them or spend the time doing dailies instead.

What some people seem to forget is that necklaces , cloaks and rings are shared by all classes that profit from spirit. So all healers can complain about Elemental needing those. I had healers whine about it, too, but rarely. What I do is what cenzor mentioned.

Weapons, rings, cloak, trinkets (granted most spirit trinkets have a healing based component) all items that any spirit useing class can use. Its not just armor that drops in heroics.

No he is clearly stating that collar, fingers, back, weapons, off hands, shields and some trinkets are just as good for ele shaman (and balance druid) that for healers of all kinds.

But you shouldn't play wow as you don't know that exactly half the gear slots (8/16) aren't armor-type related...

Then come a +hit gear, and he rolls Need on it, don't cry - even if it's for his off spec

Has to go both ways, and not a one way street for you.
