[US] Gaming PC - $2,000 Budget

I haven't built my own PC for about 10 years now... This Christmas I am going to have ~$2,000 to build a gaming machine, and I want to get the best for my money! With this being said I mainly play WoW, but I intend on also playing CS:GO & BF3 for sure... I also want this machine to be able to handle minor video editing, but I assume that it would be able to... As for playing WoW I want to be able to play in a raid setting on ultra setting for graphics (been playing from a laptop for 3 years now on low settings).

I would need literally EVERYTHING besides a mouse & speakers/headset. I have been looking at some parts online and as of right now I am pretty open to anything... I did find a case I liked (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119225) and would like to use this in my build if no one has any complaints about it. As for OS, I would like to stick with Win7 and stay away from Win8 for as long as possible...

One other thing that I would like to mention is I would like the machine to be able to connect to a wireless network, as well as a wired network.

Any help / suggestions are welcomed!

    Any comments on this RAM:

Sorry for any stupid questions, like I stated I haven't built a PC in literally a decade...

Great RAM, it's 1.5v so you won't have any issues. Just make sure you won't be getting a large heatsink since it's not low profile.

What Nab said but the CAS latency isn't the 9-9-9-24 that we're so used to seeing/using. Not sure if the difference is honestly noticeable, but I tend to try and get CAS9 RAM or lower.

Do you think there would be any space issues using shourdster's CPU+Heatsink & Video Card setup?

Your video card won't interfere with the CPU Heatsink. I'm not sure what shourdster's heatsink is, but I would recommend a well known heatsink like the Corsair Liquid cooling series, CoolerMaster EVO 212+, Thermalright Silver Arrow etc.

The difference is so minimal I doubt you'll notice it.

I've been running 1333 RAM for over a year, no issues at all.

This is what I came up with mixing and matching a few different builds... I also tried to stick with newegg for a few parts due to sales, and the fact that my wife wants to order some of the parts today as a Christmas gift... looking for feedback, if everything looks good it's time for me to pull the trigger on a few of the items!

I say pull the trigger, any issues I have with it are more just personal things I don't like. :P Probably not worth the time fussing over and likely will be fine.

Ok, this is just my personal advice/preference take is at you want.

1, replace the CPU with an i5-3570k, there's no need for the i7 3770k for gaming/minor video editing.
2, I'm not really keen of Gigabyte Mobo's, mainly since their BIOS is still old fashion.
    3, I would recommend the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard .
4, Is there any reason why you don't want the Asus DCII GTX 680 and chose the Zotac instead?
    5. As for the case, that's a full tower case and it's full of plastic, I would again recommend the Corsair 650D ( Amazing case ). Other than that, the build is very solid.
    Playing since 2007.

    Nope. Nope. Nope.

First off: Never swear by any brand for everything and always, that's the first route to guaranteeing mistakes, anger, sadness, and regretfulness.

    Also, Razer makes plastic toys.

I can name off several brands who make better products in each category:

    Logitech - mice, keyboards
    Corsair - mice, keyboards, headsets
    Thermaltake - keyboards

And if you want real headphones:

Shure, AKG, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, and Beyerdynamic are all professional quality audio companies.
