Meh. If they can make the sense adjusting actually work maybe. And I doubt it really, I forget exactly how many you could have per battle on consoles, it's been years. I do so love massive battles :/ but my pcs get an upgrade every 3 years at best

Keep hearing the guns you can get early by paying are just too much of an advantage to overcome.

You don't need to pay anything to get it you can buy everything with xp
It's like LoL, you can buy things with real money or you can farm IP. And only the classes like soldier are actually sucky with a default gun, but soldier is a pretty lame class overall. Don't know how many weapons there are now but by the time you learn to even shoot you'll be able to get other stuff, which isn't an advantage(at least it wasn't when I played) just a trade, just noobs getting owned with mirvs so they think they're somehow overpowered

Yeah, it's not PTW. I was playing just earlier today and I was doing decently with the standard weapons for Technician, while everyone else had the unlockable weapons for their classes. Also, I am pro at using default soldier weapons. I once get 20k with them in a match I joined halfway through in.

Is TF2 especially brutal on new players? seems like I have more than one game to give a shot. I do know I've played exactly one Tribes game and that was on the ps2 (And was epic. I love me some jetpacks.)

Well, if you enjoyed that one I can't gauge what you'll think of the new one. It's very different.

Other way round for me, TF2 lost it's enjoyability quickly, whereas I grew addicted to shazbot.

Nah, I'd say it's one of the easiest on new players.
Unless you try something advanced, like rocket jumping.
