I'm not enjoying seeing all these scrooges, saying nothing and they've not given presents out this year.

I can safely say, we have having a lovely day so far, despite me having man flu, my daughters first xmas, opened most of her presents, but saved a few for nannies house, had bacon, pancakes and egg for breakfast, watched some tv, uploaded photos to facebook, and we are off to my mums any minute for family gathering and xmas dinner.

This thread is about what you got for xmas, perhaps you should make your own thread on peoples opinions as to what is important at xmas. Each person cherishes different things.

Alright, I follow it now. Being a Grinch isn't the only reason to not have a huge present-party, agreed.

that sucks to have the flu. we went on a vacation in the woods once....in this little 7 room cabin (it's built like a small ranch house.) everyone ended up getting the flu. it was miserable almost the entire week. not sure what we are having for breakfast today.

Ooh, I just re-read my pocket-sized edition of The Hobbit. There's something really great about being able to carry a book around with you at all times.

A guildie arranged that I had a proper Christmas dinner delivered to my home Sunday evening. He is young enough to be my grandson but he knows what tiny bit of spare cash I have goes on the game and that leaves nothing for special food. His kindness and thoughtfulness means more than all the expensive things I had when times were better. He arranged it from Holland, I live in the UK, and no one in the world had a better present.

Not much, but it doesn't matter...

Three sweaters, four pairs of fuzzy socks, big bag of Lindor truffles, toiletries set, mp3 player, free haircut, a gift card, and a calendar my daughter made me at school.

I can get the clothes I didn't get with the gift card. You know you're getting old when the best things you got are clothes and a haircut. Other things I would have liked...mostly computer gaming peripherals...just aren't in people's budgets this year.

Happy holidays to you all, may your day be filled with family and food!

My mom isn't home, i have no grandparents and my uncle lives far away. My dad and my sister visited him, but didn't pick me up. So I spent the 24. home alone until my girlfriend asked me to eat with her family because she didn't want me to be alone. I love her
Got this nice bracelet from her

Was a pretty unexpected year, got a 3-day pass to PAX Australia, seasons 5 and 6 of the office and new speakers for my desktop so I'm pretty happy
