    Rogue sabotage

Since rogue can disarm traps wouldn't it be fun if he could for example sabotage demonic gateway through some new skill? The sabotage might for example stun the teleporting lock or rogue could use the teleport or something like that.

    Discuss.

    Yes it would be fun.

Now that was a great discussion.

Well the idea that someone else can use a lock's teleport is in a druid's incarnation. It makes sense that rogues can disarm traps but I don't know what rogues and demonic gateways have in common lore-wise so I don't see it happening.

anything that pisses off the casters = good

Well I am not saying it should allow the rogue to use it, perhaps it could keep teleporting the warlock between both ends for certain amount of seconds like a CC or it could simply slow the person's transport when using the gateway... Anything to make rogue more fun :-)

...That sounds more like the monk would end up in your stomach.

Being able to sabotage class abilities would be a hilarious niche, though.

druids get symbiosis, we can have sabotage, use it on a enemy player(or unit/boss) to gain a sabotage ability to destroy or counters one of their abilities, for pala we could destroy their bubble, warrior we could force them into a different stance, hunter we could sabotage their flare/detterence, druids we trick them going i to a different form, or disable their op faeri fire.

Sabotage does sound like an interesting spell. Kind of like Symbiosis, where it does different things depending on the class/spec of the target.

Excellent idea. Not sure I agree with all those abilities, but the idea, that it remove/disarm 1 ability depending which class would be imba.
It could have like 50 yard range and doable in stealth only, to prepare for a fight better. My idea would be:

    DK: Disable Death and Decay
    Druid: Disable Shapeshifting
    Hunter: Disable Deterrence
    Mage: Disable Blink
Monk: -Know nothing about monks, disable roll maybe?-
    Paladin: Disable Bubble
Priest: Disable Psycic Scream (the aoe fear)
    Rogue: Disable Vanish
    Shaman: Disable Shocks or Totems
    Warlock: Disable Portals
    Warrior: Disable Charge

    GLGL with that

I think it'd be cool if Rogues had a spell-specific disable of some kind but those spells being null is tooooooo ridic

It'd be nice if Rogue had a little more trickery in the toolkit, not necessarily a way to lock out abilities, but rather a penalty for when someone uses it. Say how Dark Simulacrum copies the next spell, the trickery would cause it to backfire on the caster instead in some way.

Disable blink... that would be TOO awesome. And Id rather disable farie fire than shapeshifting for druids. Plus disabling another rogue's vanish would make me feel cruel lol.

How long would the duration on the target be? Or the CD? Or just no CD and have it on only one target at a time? Why am I asking these questions? Bliz will never see this thread, much less impliment the idea /cry.
Why is there no "Demonhunter" hero class yet? He was only the coolest hero in WC3. Get busy Blizzard.

hmm then i should be able as an engineer to booby trap it and make people change in to chickens when they use it

I think the rogue class actually needs some abillties like this to set up fights in their favor. I mean assassins in general usually have some sort of plan

Going with the disabling effect, make it put that ability or the next ability the target uses on a 45s cd if it's shorter than 45 and 5m if it's longer than 45s?
