The trick to dodging is using the time frame during which you are immortal, that is, your actual air time, to your advantage.

Alright, have you been to darkroot garden at all? The demon guarding the way shoots nasty lightning and has a BIG axe, but he's beatable even before you take down the gargoyles.

to beat the capra demon you have to learn the ancient technique of running up the stairs. then you'll be able to strike down his hellish hounds like the beasts they are
