It does look like they use the same wire frame. Maybe Blizzard was ttying to make them more distinctive than other trolls and felt giving them same animations would make them feel more like a recycled model than an updated model.

100%? More like as piss poorly as it possibly could be introduced. This model and whatever they write for the Fall of the Zandalari Empire lore scrolls will actually be worth a crap. The shoulder roll is funny.

Their run animation looks more like a Vrykul than a night elf, but it could just be perspective.

I don't like it. They don't look enough like Trolls - the faces, the perfect posture, even the tusks - they look like a totally new race. And what's up with the glowing eyes?

I understand Blizzard want them to look more 'advanced' and powerful, to make them distinct from other trolls but they've gone too far.

They have two toes, 3 fingers, tusks and big ears. Fits the bill for a WoW troll just fine. Meet the Highborne version of Trolls.

I like them a lot, and feel that they dó look a lot like trolls. Or at least, a lot like powerful trolls. Don't get me wrong; I love the trolls... I just think their models are fugly.

So I'd say: Make the Darkspear more like these! Well; maybe a little lighter on the tusks...

Can't wait to see the females! While the Darkspear female model is better than the male, it would be nice to add a bit of... You know... Power to their model.

I am guessing this is what occurs when Trolls are exposed to a very high level of arcane magic; slightly forced evolution like what occurred to create Night Elves.

In this instance, the Mogu are pumping them full of power and possibly even using their flesh shaping rituals on them.

hope this and the other newer troll models are used as a basis for the eventual Jungle Troll revamp.

i like that they look different from most trolls, the Zandalari have always been spoken about in WoW as if they ARE intrinsically different.
the are the ultimate ancestors of all troll and elf tribes so it's nice to see that reflected.

I would play trolls if they looked like this...too bad theyre lengthy hunchbacks who look horrible in any gear set.

I like it. They look like meatier versions of Blood Elves (standing pose - has a slight lean)

With that in mind, I guess I was sold on Tolkien's version of trolls which were more akin to the dire trolls so it's nice to see these new guys are not scrawny hunchbacks.

They do, however, look more graceful than what I'd expect from a troll when they walk. Their run is perfect.

I'd be very excited to get this as a new player model.

They look fine to me... the only thing I hope they have (that I didn't see in this video, at least) is a set of troll hairstyles/colors... they lose a certain "troll vibe" with just the brown ponytails and short mohawk shown here.

they are making the Zandalari DIFFERENT from other trolls... that's the opposite of homogenization.
