I feel bad for the Tauren. They still feel the obligation of thier debt to Thrall, yet they have to ally themselves with the Goblins and the Forsaken, both of whom commit actions the Tauren must find horrific.

I cannot say how the Alliance would treat the Tauren, but with Garrosh and his blatant disregard for the lives of Tauren warriors(as demonstrated in Tides of War) the Tauren certainly have valid reason to wonder if the Horde is their best option. Its sad how fractured the Horde is becoming. Maybe Warchief Vol'jin can turn things around.

Let's be honest, given that they gave water to the quillboar, and let the Grimtotem go AGAIN in thousand needles...

They're going to NEED the goblins and Forsaken if they want to stay alive so long as Baine's in charge :\

Thats sort of my point, the Tauren are mostly peaceful and quick to forgive, perhaps even to a fault. How must they feel about the plague-bombing of two cities and the mana-bombing of a third? There is a valid anger for the destruction of Turajo, but it's pretty hard to look at this as equivalent to the Horde strikes against Alliance civilians. The Tauren really have no reason to even be in this Horde v Alliance war, that is what I find sad. Thrall saved them from some Centaurs but consigned them to a far more horrific war instead.

    2. Source? Because the only things the Alliance is upset with the forsaken about is -murdering their people- particularly the ones in hillsbrad.

    3. Well yeah, the trolls are one of the few races with a legit beef with the Alliance in its modern incarnation. Even then you don't get alliance quests that read 'go kill these trolls because they smell' you get quests to kill trolls because the trolls want to kill the Alliance because years ago some guys that would later become the Alliance beat up on the Troll empires with the High Elves.

EDIT: Except for the Darkspear who got their islands attacked by Alliance. Twice.

yet Vol'jin is all about peace? jesus christ what's wrong with him.

    4. Bunk? The entire basis of the Alliance is that it's an alliance of races that wanted protection from the Horde. If the Alliance only cared about itself why would it be in Pandaria primarily to protect it from the Horde?
    1. Well that's a legit reaction, why should they get allied with bastards spying them and saboting their system ? Firstly, Garithos doubted about the blood elves, and was pretty nasty with them, he's pretty responsible for what happened with Kael'Thas, Illidaris and Burning Legion. Later, night elven incursions.

    2. Apothecarys are responsible for this, not the forsakens themselves, who totally disapprove thoses methods. (Sylvanas do not even seem to be aware of it)

    4. They wanted protection from the horde, but with Thrall, the hord dominated they malefic side, they became nice guys : The Alliance wants to protect Pandaria from the Hord ? Another proof that they consider the hord as primates barbarians. All they done is stirring Garrosh's hatred and made the situation worse than it was.
Also the Alliance came on Pandaria BEFORE the Horde, they probably wanted something on Pandaria like ... exploiting the local population ?

The Alliance will gladly Swap you Gnomes for Taurens if it will avoid a conflict.

    We choose death first.

The tauren are in the Horde for one reason; They are the conscience of the Horde. They don't leave because they feel they have a duty to uphold. That's why they originally sought to help try and find a "cure" for the Forsaken. They act as the higher standard they hope to eventually lead their fellow horde races towards. This is why they have taken the trolls under their wing, the trolls are the closest thing to a success the tauren have right now. They try to show the horde races the mistakes each make, and hopefully lead them towards a better way of life. They can't abandon the goblins, because unchecked goblin development would be a worse fate, and just maybe they can help the goblins become more responsible wardens of nature. The can't abandon the orcs because they have seen first hand with Thrall that the orcs can be a good and honorable people, with the right leadership. They can't abandon the Forsaken because a disease left to fester threatens the whole system, better to triage now. They can't abandon the Belfs and Trolls because those two races show that redemption and change can happen, and the tauren aren't in a hopeless endeavor.

    1. Agreed.

    2. Uh, no, Hillsbrad's conquest was 100% on board with Sylvanas, it's the PRIVATE experiments that Stillwater was doing that the rest of the Forsaken didn't support.

    3. Vol'jin and Baine are dumbasses

    4. Um... No? The Forsaken still try to poison and murder just about everybody near them, even that poor Tauren that came to them for medicine. Or that Mindslave walking around in Undercity.

    5. Uh, no, Garrosh sent his forces to 'paint the continent red', and he wants to emulate the mogu, I'd say the Alliance is pretty spot on here.

    6. They were looking for anduin do you even read quests?

Tauren will never leave the horde.

Goblins have caused some issues but with time they will be ok and things will balance out. The forsaken are at best anti heros at worst right out monsters, Sylvie needs a boot to the face ASAP maybe she can get in line with jaina and garrosh so I can dish them out at the same time.

I play as alliance but my first character was a horde tauren shaman. Once horde always horde

To be fair, we have seen Goblin enviroment engineers and Shaman, so perhaps Goblins CAN be a bit more enviromentally friendly, if they are told to do so. Hell, if you paid them, I bet they'd be as green as their skin would be.

    Gnomes on the other hand.

Which is bunk because no water in Azshara that empties into Durotar is near any water in durotar.

On horde's introduction to Pandaria cinematic, Nazgrim says to garrosh that they discovered a new continent in the South seas.
    *Garrosh feels victorious*
Then, Nazgrim admit that the Alliance came before the Alliance on Pandaria, and that they already have many troops on it.
Then, Garrosh get furious against Nazgrim, and says that he have to kick off the Alliance of this continent.

your right they didnt hold them hostage, they down right slaughtered them all during there incursion and ransaking of multiple draenei cities, mainly Tel'mor in Rise of the Horde.

not to mention the "sacrafice" of the draenei child when the Dark Portal was opened.....

No i didn't, but even in the horde quests & cinematics we know that they were here for Anduin, not a problem at all, Horde and Alliance are ennemies, and the fact that the ennemy faction want to capture the most importants of your political figure is normal in time of war.

You're changing the argument. The issue was never whether or not it was 'okay' to try and capture anduin or whatever...

The point is the Alliance didn't go there to oppress the Horde or anything, and they didn't go to 'invade' pandaria.

S is a consonant. While we're on the topic, "A historian", not "An historian".

These mistakes are much too common.

Whats really interesting to me is how it almost seems like the only race the alliance likes in the horde are the Tauren. When Magni become a stone Magni, the horde had representatives at the ceremony one being tauren and the other blood elf. It seems like the alliance realize the Tauren are passive and deal with nature more than warfare. Maybe this is because of Hamuul and Stormrages relationship in the cenarion circle. But yes the Tauren should not like the goblins, but like others have said they are very passive and likely just don't want to stir trouble.
Thank You Shyama for the sig again!!

They didn't go to invade pandaria ?
They immediatly tried to "enslave" the pandarens (Starting quests of the hord), trying to impose their culture

Alliance on Pandaria = Spannishs on America.
