Unofficial Orr Server

So some people on Reddit decided to make an Unoffical Orr Server by using guesting feature to do Orr events and etc. I personally hate how empty it feels.
It's been decided that these servers will be used:

NA - Tarnished Coast
EU - Desolation

Just spreading the word around, make sure you think of it if you wanna do Orr, it's a cool idea I think.

One of these days I really need to check server populations. I haven't been to Orr since the patch, but Cursed Shores always had so many people the lag was virtually unplayable so if anything I'd need to guest on a server with less people in the area. :P

This is actually a really BAD idea.

TC is already the unofficial RP server and caps to Full all the time, I'm sure they don't want everyone and their un-RPing mother on their server. Not to mention keeping it full to overflowing all the time so they can't connect with their RP community or can't have RP guests over.

I agree with Karizee.

Desolation is probably the most populated EU server aswell and Orr is already packed with people. This will just cause grief because people will be thrown onto overflow servers all the time.

I don't mind the idea really. I just don't want to be on my SERVER! GET AWAY FROM Tarnished Coast! XD

I like Orr "empty", I really do. I like doing events with just a few people.

The people behind it either a) didn't want to use up one of their guest servers on it, or b) [the other extreme] didn't want people flooding *their* servers

On Aurora Glade until recently it was alright. But in the last few days a lot of guild transferred over and now it's unbearable. Even early in the morning there are lots of people there farming events!

Other than being put into an overflow server, how is that a bad thing? O_o

Hmm I guess I made it sound awful didn't I? Sorry, the only downside to it is that it is incredibly hard to even hit mobs so you can get loot. Other than that yes it is great as a lot of those guilds are WvW oriented and will definitely help our server. A few days ago we even had queue for Eternal Battlegrounds early in the morning

Orr is not dead at all on deso. Most mobs already die in under 2 seconds, I don't see why we would want even more people there.

yak's bend seems to be hoping in orr, I can't imagine going to a more populated server.

I recently switched from Underworld to Desolation just before Guesting, and dear god, it is so damn crowded in Orr, it is not worth farming at all and despite being filled to the brim, no one actually co-ordinate or help each other out.

Well, my server was packed in Cursed Shores even at 3am (couldn't sleep) so I doubt I'll be guesting on another high pop server for Orr.

I was disappointed that there was jack all going on in Straits or Leap though. Even moreso that despite the changes most of the events are still not soloable. I tried about six different non-group events throughout Straits and Leap and succeeded in about two of them. The number and strength of the mobs is just too overwhelming for one person. Either there were technically other people around that I didn't see or the events don't downscale as much as they should to compensate for lack of players.
