    Post Computer upgrade

Hey Guys i'm looking to upgrade my computer to something that's a lot better than the one i'm on now. I have a budget £700. I'll get straight in to what my specs are currently, i'm happy to keep parts i don't need to replace for now

    Budget - £700.00

    Resolution - 1920x1080 HD? i dunno, they're samsungs and they're 21.5"

Games / Settings Desired - Hi/Ultra high. WoW - Ultra if possible BF General games with high settings

Any other intensive software or special things you do - Photoshop, After effects.

    Country - England, Yorkshire

Parts that can be reused - PSU - 550W? NVIDIA GEFORCE 550 GTX Ti? Hard drive - 340gb (lol)

Do you need an OS? - I got windows 7

Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? - I'm perfectly happy with my mouse, but my keyboard is a standard £5 from tesco one

If possible i don't particularly want to spend £700 but i can do if i need to. i also quite fancy this case

Really appriciate some help and am willing to help if i can be of any assistance, thankyou

So really all you need is a Motherboard, CPU, RAM, and a case?

The 550ti CAN be reused.. but wont be. It won't do what you want it to. Do you need a bigger hard drive? Do you want an SSD?

Hard to break down what you need when it's not entirely clear what you're planning.

do i need to replace to my graphics card???
Yes. It will not run BF on high.

    are SSD even worth it?
I certainly feel so, and I beleive it's easily in your budget. While it doesn't increase FPS in games, it makes games (especially WoW) run smoother, less loading, and faster loading, and just general quality of life improvement.

Also, that case is pretty dang expensive. On a budget like yours, you're compromising performance for "ooh, my case under my desk looks neat"

There you go within your budget with the overpriced case and all, (140 quid for a case when you still have other potential upgrades is criminal but anyway not my money).

I considered the 7870 XT, however I'd never heard of "Club 3D" so it made me wary.

Club 3d is a European lower grade brand, I'd rate them about even with the likes of Powercolor.

There are plenty of decent cases. Just look for something you like, that isn't like $150.. I like the Cooler Master 430. a lot of people recomment Fractal or NZXT cases.

I wouldn't advice you to get 16GB of RAM when you are on a budget as such you could get more performance from spending it elsewhere.

You -can-, however it would be a waste of money. It wouldn't benefit you really in any way.
