Real fun fight. I keep screwing up on 2nd felpup phase though. Once i get that done properly i should bring him down
Pit lord is fearable though, which is handy.

It just means you are doing it wrong. I was Ilvl 496 when I killed him on ptr, and the only change from ptr to live is he has a little more hp and the felhunter's devour magic is spammed on your pitlord when the felhunters are not stunned. Because of that he is giving me some trouble (I don't use the LoS strat because it doesn't feel like it is an intended mechanic, so it is a little more difficult) but it is definitely downable.

Agh thank God someone else is having problems with felhunter devours. I thought it was just me. It's shitting me to tears.

I thought PTR's were meant to deal with bugs like that?

I killed 5-7 mob elite, and rare item dropped 2 times. At first I lost to another warlock. The second time I could pick up the item. Maybe I'll get lucky

I'm in the last stage of the quest right now.

I don't think it's a bug, I think it's just supposed to be so hard that you're gutted for the next year and a half haha.

I'm curious; why do you think it's a bug? It's a felhunter (actually several of them) using devour magic to destroy a magical effect (enslave demon). I'm almost positive it's meant to be part of the challenge.

Well, from what I see people saying, its an out-right wall, rather than a challenge. I'd expect a challenge to be a spread out assault, rather than Devour Magic's left-right-and-center.

That's actually not a bad point, and people don't remember it being that bad on the PTR ... I got like 10 devours on my single enslave spammed within five seconds. It was freaky.

eventually killed kanrethad, once i realised that my pit lord wasn';t being devoured but was the enslave demon spell wearing off naturally. Once i re-enslaved it just before doomguard spawned the fight went smoothly.

what do you mean? mine gets devoured almost instantly, even after re-enslaving. what spec did you take?
