Lightbulb The best possible way to 'end' WoW

This is Pure imagination. Not Speculation or anything like that. But there's gonna be a lot of writing that has gone into this. Please, hold your applause until the end.

The battle for Orgrimmar is the setting.

Garrosh has gone crazy, absorbed the power of the Sha and has become nigh invincible, rampaging and slaughtering people in Orgrimmar, the Kor'kron also Sha infested are helping him, players fight the Kor'kron up to the last boss, being Garrosh, who is locked in combat with Varian Wrynn, who gets cut down as players join. Players would fight him with the help of the other leaders of their respective faction. As You whittle Garrosh's health down, he becomes more and more powerful, and more of the leaders join in. At around 50% the Dalaran faction teleport, once again, for their respective factions. Silver Covenent, Vereesa Windrunner and her troops, or Archmage Aethas Sunreaver, and the Sunreaver troops, and tell you they've come to help and they have to hold off Garrosh just a little while longer because Jaina and Rhonin and the Kirin Tor are on their way.
Once Garrosh's health gets to, say, 10% the real shit happens.

    *Queue Cinematic cutscene*

Garrosh roars with rage, bleeding Sha essence, his eyes smoking and black smoke-like flames leaping from his shoulders. He looks up and sees Dalaran floating above Orgrimmar, and the Kirin Tor are preparing a spell to destroy him and the Sha completely.

*queue giant Laz0r Beam of uberl33t magics*

The Immense powerful from such a magic event draws the attention of the Burning Legion.
And The sky turns black as a demon 'Harbinger' tears through from the twisting nether and tells the leaders that the Burning Legion is on their way, and there is nothing they can do to stop it. And then teleports away.

    *End Cutscene*

And then Blizzard fills one more patch of people preparing for the invasion. hereby dubbed as the "Abyssal Legion".
You do some quests and stuff and find out that, the "Abyssal Vanguard" us here and they are wreaking havoc, and preparing the staging area. And preparing to Summon Sargeras.

At this point Tirion Fordring, meets with the Kirin Tor and they decide the best course of action.

The Leaders of both the Horde, (now once again led by Thrall), and the Alliance, (Varian Wrynn was killed fighting Garrosh and was replaced by Anduin), The Argent Crusade, The Sunreavers, The Silver Covenant and The Kirin Tor agree that they need to contact the Guardian of Tirisfal and the New Council.

So Med'an shows up and tells them that only a limitless army can beat a limitless army. Thus leading players back into ICC to free Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, the New Lich King, to ask him for help.

The last expansion gives 10 levels (bringing the level cap to 100), gives players the choice to choose Horde or Alliance regardless of race, and features both the Scourge (Friendly) and the Abyssal Legion (Hostile). And plenty of other things. >.>

I'm sure there's plenty more that can be built on here. (Sylvannas and the Scourge, Med'an and where he's been, how Pandaria is different now because there is no more Sha, etc.)

    The End.

We have to defeat Sargeras before WoW can end. He's the true, big bad in the entire game.

If not, just turn off the servers without any announcement. Make World of Warcraft 2 and make the subtitle: WoW was merely a setback.
    Statix will suffice.

Don't have an ending for the entire game. Just have endings on a character basis, with an ending questline with some kind of input to decide what direction your character takes, in a very open-ended expansion which doesn't really have all that much direction to it.

But seriously though they won't end WoW until they go bankrupt.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

Your idea is based on the premise that it would be a good idea to end WoW after the next Xpac. It would have to lose players extremely rapidly for that to be true, far faster than even during Cata.

id rather have something like this:
we defeat garrosh, then voljin and his forces ambush the alliance and kills them in ogrimmar, the alliance (or dalaran to be more precise) respond with throwing a manabomb at ogrimmar destroying any remaining horde forces there.
the factions becomes ledaerless, all alliances between all factions are slowly fading as each race now strive for independence. and when the demons arrives, our task as hero is to make alliances between factions. but this will be a losing battle and nomatter how well we do we will ultemitly fail (lol almost like ME3 ), our factions and capitals gets destroyed 1 by 1. until at last, when all great cities and leaders have fallen. we lead a rescue mission and flee the planet throu a portal with what little is left of all the factions.

next expansion: The survivors starts settling down on this brand new world and soon come in contact with 2 dominating forces on this world (ex-horde players obviously choose 1 force while the ex-alliance players choose the other. This planet will feature alot of new zones, dungeons, raids, npcs, models everything
Who the villains of this world is could be anything.. somethign similar to oldgods? demonlords? nzrethim? something NEW?

what i like about my idea of a new world is that it brings so many possibilities to the game.

If wow is meant to end, we need mediev back in the story to narrate it. He's like the gandalf or galadriel of wow, always wise and knowing, but not beyond the scent of corruption.

If the next expansion is really happening and is really burning legion on azeroth, i want to see medivh. Totally badass guy. Screw Med'an. He needs to die. Goddamn abomination draenei-orc-human paladin-shaman-mage bullshit.

Personally I have a feeling that the end of MoP leading into the next xpac is going to bring the alliance and the horde closer together. Not sure how many of you play/played Rift, but Trion did this with Storm Legion, you had Guardian and Defiant characters joining together for a greater threat. You could group up, do dungeons, raids, rift raids, etc. all together. Although you still weren't allowed in faction capital cities.

power down all servers bye bye wow

    I liked the story,
although I believe the last Expansion of Wow will Involve REAL Titan figures to help us battle against their Evil brother.

Keep In mind, Wow can end as a game, but I WONT LET IT END UNTILL THERE IS ATLEAST A Trilogy made by Peter Jackson/ Steven speilberg, OR a 5-6 Season Series of the best story ever made - WARCRAFT!

Oh look, another person who buys into the 'level 100 will bez teh endz of WoW 4evar, gaiz!' fallacy.

Everquest? Still going 15 years and 18 expansions later, with a minute fraction of WoW's playerbase. WoW is not ending next expansion, not at level 100, not until Blizz finally decides that they're not making enough money from it to keep supporting the game - which is a long, long, LONG way off yet.
When asked about the role of women in video games, Samus Aran said, "..." - and then she blew up the planet. AGAIN.

I would frankly love to see this, it's a great thing in Rift. Especially if it means they also drop the communication barrier. That would be super awesome for RP servers, especially if (like Rift) we were to get cross-faction guilds as well. All the various Argent/Cenarion/etc guilds could actually BE neutral and cross-faction.

Meh. Any 'story' that involves Med'an the Mary Sue shamageadin in a key role pretty much automatically fails. He needs to stay confined to the comic books and Knaak the Hack's masturbatory fantasies where he belongs. Better yet, let a real author kill him off, just like Rhonin and Krasus.
