anyone with no sense of humor and the ability to detect intent and sarcasm from emotionless text on a screen should apply, they're the most qualified

As a mod you have to control that feeling though, you can't just go and abuse your power, banning those who you don't like. With great power comes great responsibility and have to treat everyone equally with that power.
Hmm, I'd say a good sense of humor is required, some posts/threads/discussion/whatever are so bad you just have to laugh with it.
Anyway, good luck to everyone that is applying.

Good Luck to everyone who's applying. I will not be applying since I'm more of a lurker and less of a poster. I WILL BE WATCHING!!!!
EVERYDAY I'M SHUFFLIN. ┏(-_-)┛┗(-_- )┓┗(-_-)┛┏(-_-)┓
I am quite interested in applying to a forum, but I have not written 100 posts there in the past 90 days. Is there a way around it?
I am a moderator at one of the biggest swedish gaming communities and my philosophy is if you have nothing good to post, you don't post at all.
Hence, I have a low post count even though I am very active.
If an admin or moderator has the time, feel free to contact me
• Diablo Immortal is the most misunderstood and underrated game of all time!
• Blizzard, please, give us some end-game focused Classic servers, where you start at max level!
• Serious Completionist: 100% OW Achievements, 100% D3 Achievements, 90% Immortal Achievements, 99% ATT Classic, ~90% ATT Retail
I'm sure you could quickly up your post count if you peruse more subforums, especially the more active ones.
Gen OT always has stuff going on. I've found a large community and discussion-oriented group of people within the computer forums, helping suggest computer parts/computers for people every day. The WoW General Discussions subforum is active beyond reasoning, but hey, it's a WoW site.
Or even participating in the Fun Stuff/Chat Zone subforums, while the post count doesn't go towards your big number under your avatar, it does still count towards those forums.
While I cannot speak in definitive terms on behalf of MMO-Champion in this regard, I feel that one has to draw a metaphorical line somewhere. The reason the post count-limit is there is to make sure people have been active. To make sure other posters have had a chance to see this person be active there.
It's also a thing about making sure people stay active, you know. So that people won't just drop out after half-a-week.
Know who he is, so that people won't go "Hey, who the hell is this guy coming out of nowhere banning me for things I've been doing all the time".
I am not unfamiliar with Swedish gaming communities and I share that philosophy. Despite this, there are always topics where people ask for help or ask questions. They could be fairly easily answered to increase ones post count should one have the desire to do so.
Exceptional people are always interesting of course, but preceding experience can only go so far in some cases, and I'm thinking this is one.
Good luck with your appliactions, people.
Never say that again
I got promoted to a board once and that happened:

i don't see Darsithis on the forum listing as being a moderator for any forum but he's the one closing the most topics in all the forums, shouldn't he be listed?
Where do i sign chaudpal
being on irc might be a problem with that tool Offspring exercising his power use all the time

The only thing to be scared of, son, is tomorrow. I don't live for tomorrow. Never saw the fun in it.
Hmm i haven't got infracted in this topic yet. A rare opportunity. I wouldn't do any job that have word free in it. But i guess someone just have enough free time to throw away their life to.
Jaylock for moderator!
On a more serious note, I've been infracted way too many times. So no.
"The sword is mightier than the pen, and considerably easier to kill with."
Good luck to those who apply, unless you're Jaylock, Cybran etc etc.
I hope Totaltotemic applies for Monk forums. He's super helpful & would make a great addition! /crossesfingers
