[Spoilers] Why is the horde killing the best warchief they have ever had?

So a recent thread just leaked info about the kor'kron bombing stormwind... (http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...rding-Spoilers!)

Huh... I don't remember thrall doing anything like that...

In fact, I don't remember thrall conquering ANY alliance territory... at all!

Did Thrall make everyone a huge softie towards alliance or something? Back when the horde was first made something like the destruction of theramore would be celebrated, not cause an uproar within the horde...

It was my understanding that the horde was created to wipe out the Alliance, and now when we are right about to do just that, 90% of the horde wants the warchief dead! WTF!

Am i the only one that doesn't understand this reasoning the rebellion has at all?

If you're going to describe and link to a thread that needed a "Spoilers!" warning, then you should probably include a warning in your thread's title, too. I've edited it in. -Daetur

Well the complication that has arisen with Garrosh is that he views the other races of the horde as inferior to the Orcs, hence his goal is to create a "true horde" comprised exclusively of Orcs whom he desires to see become the master race of Azeroth by conquering the lesser races of the remaining Horde and Alliance.

So in short the rebellion is a classic "them or us" conflict. Either Garrosh conquers Azeroth to establish a master race of Orcs or we forcibly remove him from the station of warchief.

Though Garrosh has dealt many significant blows to the Alliance, the lore I believe has stated the resources he's consumed have been devastating. He might, arguably, be the most effective Warchief to reign but he is equally arguably the least efficient, expending practically every resource to achieve his goals.

That's the crux of it. Thrall recognized that for the Orcs to have a place in Azeroth they have to work with the native races and come together, or at least agree to leave one another alone. All Garrosh sees is taking a place in the sun by shoving everyone else in a dark cave. He tells the Orcs it is their destiny to rule the world, and like most people, they love when their ego is stroked and put the weight of their support behind him.

The Horde was founded to SURVIVE, not conquest. That shit probably wouldn't have flown that close to the end of the Second War.

Are you an orc? No? You are dead then. Are you willing to fight for the views of a Warchief that include genocide on a planetary scale? Are you willing to allow yourself to be experimented upon to increase the strength of the Horde? Are you willing to be called weak, pathetic, and a failure should you die because of said experiments? Please note if you show even the slightest hesitation or any form of rebellion you will be executed with extreme prejudice.

Because stealing the heart of an Old God from another culture's most sacred land, engaging in almost civil war against the trolls, building a secret lair under Orgrimmar, and absorbing powers from an Old God is definitely good Horde leadership..... /thread

Things change, both ideals and opinions. I don't know, maybe the Horde realized that what Thrall was doing was better overall for the Horde rather than just incessant war which destroys villages, zones, and decimates populations on both sides.

You also have to realize, the ORIGINAL Horde were basically peaceful when they came to Azeroth. They were escapees from the mindwarping demonic corruption on Draenor, and they attempted to live a better life. It wasn't really their fault they were turned into mindless killing machines, but they tried to better themselves. Thrall pushed that issue to its limits while he was in power, attempting to attain peace for his Horde. (Disclaimer: I'm am deliriously tired, I may be getting my lore messed up and be completely wrong -_-

Where did Garrosh get enough orcs to successfully conquer the world without allies? Is there a Kor'kron cloning machine or something?

It surely seem so, given the number of kor'kron in barrens and orgrimmar.

The original Horde? Yes. Thrall's Horde? No.

Even if Garrosh succeeded in wiping out the Alliance, those who are currently rebelling would still not enjoy the faction they're a part of. And without the Alliance to aid them in bringing down Garrosh, they'd likely ultimately fail.

    The Horde isn't killing anyone...

Really?... Your really incapable of understanding why?

May I suggest you begin reading some history books on real life tyrants and dictators, and why things didn't work out for them.
Though, if you can't understand why garrosh is the bad guy here, despite everything telling you why, then i guess trying to understand more complex evil tyrants in history would be a strech

    I honestly was pro-Garrosh.
He got the horde to do something.

    But now he's anti-horde, and pro-orc.
He only wants Orcs in his 'True Horde' and so it's just a matter of being out numbered.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

    It's really easy to understand:
Thrall's Horde are different from WC1/2 and Grom's Horde from WC3. Blizzard created a new Horde to be like Alliance (good guys of Azeroth) but with horns, green skins and long ears.
The Old Horde are enemys to Alliance and new Horde guys.

19 yeas of Old Horde died in WoW. We will miss you !!!

P.D: Doesn't matter if Garrosh is a tyrant or Santa Claus. We had 2 tyrants in WC1 and 2 and the Horde community was high, so people enjoyed to be the bad guys. The problem this days it's that players can't chose to be the "other side of the coin" army.
