It requires 10 posts to be able to post links or images- however, if you try to spam threads in order to raise your post count, you risk being infracted- which can lead to temporary suspensions- as well as your posts being deleted, at which point they will no longer post towards your post count.

Just engage in discussion normally, and you'll hit 10 posts before you know it!

The Azeroth map isn't complete yet, it has lots of south sea islands to put in.

Looks good! Only Gilneas and Silverpine seem a little shattered. Or am I just crazy?

it happened when i downloaded a down-scaled version of the maps, the land color was too similar to the water color and with the filters, they were kinds merged together =/
anyway, it made this because i couldn't find any decent image like this on the internet, so i thought it would be cool to share it

Same with Azuremyst, and Kassarang Wilds/Dreadwastes and some others.

Looks pretty good so far though, I think you'd be better making a full size one that people can resize themselves, because the quality is suppppperrr low currently.

There was a website that had exactly this but not as a globe, can't remember which, you could view Azeroth like Google Maps.

Yeah, it was where i got the images, but wanted to make a lower resolution image, so it could be used and posted easier. the site was http://maps.marlam.in/

It is very cool. i don't have much practice with image editing though, if anyone is pro at it, would be really cool to see a more detailed version.

Anyway, don't forget to see the full size image here http://postimg.org/image/fipvju9ez/full/

The more I look at this map the more I believe Global Warming has struck Azeroth.

Pandaria is located much much further south..

Also, we have no evidence of poles on Azeroth..

no evidence of poles? you mean polar caps? there is no evidence that indicates to the non-existence of polar caps either, so i put them there because it looked good and made sense

True.. There are no proof of absense too..

But Azeroth isn't comparable to e.g. Earth..
Winterspring and "That Dwarf/Gnome starting zone" are both located faily close to equator, but they have permafrost.
So, we have frost in the north (Icecrown and Storm Peaks) and close to equator.. But nothing in the south..

You can't assume how Azeroth looks, based on how Earth looks, so as long as Blizzard doesn't explicit say there are poles, the. Azeroth have none..

you do know that poles are a property of globes right? as for wintergrasp and kahz modan, they are in mountains with high altitude, that's why they are snowy.
also where is it said that the equator is in the middle of the map? from the looks of the areas, i'd say the equator would be far more to the south, passing through stranglethorn vale maybe.

Kahz Modan is NOT high altitude. It's slightly elevated.. You can see it, when you fly to the coast..
Winterspring is high, yes.. But it's less than a third of Hyjal's altitude, which is warm..

lol those are in game issues because of the scale, it wouldn't be cool to have to scale a huge moutain every time you want to go to ironforge... are you the red shirt guy from blizzcon? the guy that points out uninteresting and irrelevant matters.
