This is not true, see updated Blizzard patch notes:

"Prayer of Mending from multiple Priests can now be on the same target, and can be on multiple targets from the same Priest."

This is actually the best news for Holy Priest to me for all of WoD. PoM is my absolute favourite spell and it has always been an issue with overwriting both my own and others PoMs.

On a sidenote, PoM has been overwriting higher EoL at trigger this whole expack and perhaps longer than that. As a reply to my tweet Cele said they will finally fix that to for 6.0 (about time... hello hotfixes??? Oh, right, doesnt apply to Holy Priests)).

Currently, Priest X could cast PoM on a target, and then Priest Y could immediately cast PoM on the same target, effectively removing Priest X's PoM. In WoD, with Priest X's PoM already on the target, Priest Y would cast PoM on the same target, and the target would have TWO PoMs, neither removing the other.

Hope that clears up any confusion

Prayer of Mending from multiple Priests can now be on the same target, and can be on multiple targets from the same Priest.

Sooo.. will there be some sort of safety mechanic so that two PoMs from same priest don't cross paths so one gets cancelled?

Maybe in 7.0, when they see the problem.

Until the dumb ass shadow priest in your raid shadow word death's and steals your PoM leaving a 4 stack to rot on them while everyone else proceeds to take damage >.>

Not being over written by other priests is awesome though. The fact that it still did this after they made the HoT change so long ago to let multiple HoTs from different healers stack on people kinda boggles my mind. Priests and Disc Priests especially are the only class in the game that gets screwed over by having multiple in the raid. Currently with shields not stacking it's a pain in the ass with 2 disc priests trying to proc rapture off tanks and 3 just forget it. Spirit shell doesn't stack yet it stacks with itself... Cause that makes sense right? 2 Disc priests can pull off the same effect as both disc priests spirit shelling 4 groups on top of each other as 2 Disc priests doubling up spirit shell on 2 groups each. Takes some coordination yet no other ability works like that. So ya having one of our annoyances changed is a pretty awesome change!

Well, shadow word death hasn't done any damage for the caster unless glyphed for like 2 years now. Rapture is getting removed, and Weakened Soul is being reduced by Draenor perks. The PoM bouncing has been addressed by Celestalon in Tweets saying they'll try and make them not bounce to the same target.

Can you imagine the noise of a fight like Norushen with 3 Holy priests taking Words of Mending and Divine Insight?
