I have been out of the game for about 3 years, left during Cata. I played on a PC, now I have a Mac. I know I can re-roll my Subscription. I have Vanilla, BC, and Lich CD. I Downloded Cata Digitally. I am wondering if I can use all the same discs or do I need to purchase new one to begin playing again. CD Key reasons i guess is my question. I know I will have to purchase MoP. SO any help for a person contemplating returning would be appreciated. I just want to knowif I have to re-buy all discs or i am good with what I have. Thanks in advance.

if you still have your account, just download it again, buy your sub and play

You don't have to re-buy anything previously purchased as long as your account wasn't banned.

Log into your account on blizzards website. You can download the entire game for free. You'll just have to buy the expansions to upgrade your account itself, which you can do on their website. So you won't need to buy the physical copies.

You can't use the discs anymore. You have to download it all.

im not sure if the old discs work since alot has changed, you dont need to download the whole game anyway, as soon as you download the basic (not sure about 1gb) you can play the game.

Downloading is faster... you don't have MoP as you said and it must be downloaded anyway and if you install from discs and won't buy MoP til later the client from disks is still outdated and you still need to download something. And you now have a mac so disks can't be used

The easy way out is to download mac version from your account page and leave the pc to download while you sleep then wake up>????>profit

If you have a good high-speed cable you can download it all over the night while you sleep or during the day while you're at work.

WOW uses PC/Mac hybrid discs. It never used separate discs for PC and Mac.

Thing to note , you can play while it downloads now! So you can jump into WoW midway download

Make sure your account wasn't hacked and banned while you were away.

...and it has some entertaining moments. At one point I was playing my 90 while it downloaded because new machine, and I guess that the model for the vial of the sands mount had not downloaded. I got to swim gracefully through the skies of Pandaria for a long, long time. Best thing ever.
