He just won rookie of the month for the east. Apparently the people who vote on that award didnt' mind his 3 point percentage. Thibs doesnt' seem to mind it either or he'd be on the bench. So no, I dont' have a problem with him launching a few threes.

  2. #1502
That's not the point. To say he's a good 3 point shooter is stretching believability beyond breaking point.

To say he's not been a great player of late is equally as asinine.

I don't think I said he was a good / great 3 point shooter. Just that i'm fine with the 3's he takes.

It's all good though, his player of the month was very, very deserved.

Of all ten teams that could make the finals from the east, I think the Bulls would be my second choice or preference. Perhaps a tie with others. I'd like Atlanta to make it honestly, just because they have changed quite a bit lately and they have an interesting take on the game.

But I think the order/chances of the east right now are more:

Cleveland>Bulls>Atlanta>everyone else, depending of course on health, specifically how rose comes back.
I'd love to see Cleveland lose to the heat though, that would be hilarious.

Meh it's not a big deal anyway. Like stomped said, several high profile people are shooting volume threes that probably shouldn't be and such.

And I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but sometimes I say things that are kind of dumb or at least come out that way :P

I guess it's a risk/reward thing, and some teams require volume shooting from the stars (thunder with durant out) or just don't care because of tanking (Timberwolves)

Paul George coming back tomorrow, probably so t make much of a difference but nice to see.

Are you guys aware the wolves have only been trotting out an eight man team the last like two weeks because of injury/ coaches decisions? Just crazy. Had to sign a guy off the stree so we had enough dressed players.

Tough to win a game when they are drilling shots from halfcourt. Oh well meaningless game in the long run.

Shooting woes continued for some important players as well. Maybe they are getting the 25% shooting games out of the way before the playoffs.

I was surprised on the fan vote for the ABC games for MVP Harden was leading the charge by a significant margin. I personally do think he should be MVP as well and I think it will definitely happen if they finish as the 2nd seed

Pelicans are 1 win from tying the Thunder for the 8th seed. I remember a lot of people in this thread saying they thought Anthony Davis was the real MVP but couldn't vote for him unless his team made it to the playoffs.

Listening to the Bill Don't Lie podcast. Steph Curry is an obvious MVP candidate.

That said, it's scary how close to him Kyrie Irving is.

    pts/reb/ast
    23.6/4.1/6.9
    21.9/3.5/5.6

    Kyrie is 4 years younger.

Yeah but the difference is Kyrie is the robin on a team stacked with stars, one of which is probably the best overall developed player in the world currently.

Steph Curry is the guy every other team's coach says "hey, that guy is the hottest mofo in the NBA right now. Guard him. Stay on him. Best defender be on him like white on rice."

LOL the stats of this game:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400579450

Wiggins is +13, but with him off the court, the timberwolves tanked so far down. Not that it matters since we are tanking for #1 pick..which we will probalby botch, but hey!

And at least we played more then eight guys this game! yaay!

At least the Wolves are smart enough to tank. They could draft a superstar with their lottery pick. Look at Brooklyn, even the Knicks are better off than that. They've traded their 2015,16 and 17 first round picks away. How are they going to get better? Free agency is their only hope. That's basketball hell.

Steph's team is pretty stacked too.
