What I usually do now is just stick the whole container of ice cream in the microwave for really small intervals (like 3-4 seconds at a time) until it softens enough.

It is an actual condition, its called lipedema. Research into it is pretty new, but basically their bodies cannot properly store/dispose of fat and it causes that type of swelling. Originally Posted by Dendrek
