Heya guys, I joined a new guild recently and raided with them.. my performance wasn't up to the level I wanted it to be, so I would love a 3rd person view on what I did wrong/could've done better..

I have the +5% trait on my demo weapon, but only 32 traits on my destro one [2 till completion, 3 till the 5% trait], but I don't think thats the reason of that difference in dps

Thank you so much for the info I totally forgot about Infernal for destro like a dummy, and you are spot on about the havoc and immolate usage wasting all kinds of GCD's I have overhauled my UI to better assist me in tracking those better.

the triple usage of rift at the start was just part of the opener I usually try to pop 2 in 1 go during the fight prolly got behind in the rotation but i like to keep it at 2 then use is that right?

I found myself getting overwhelmed in the fight mostly because im not 100% familiar with the fight which in itself adds to un-needed movement and points where I'm out of position I think some more familiarity will go a long way.

Question the comment about playing destro on Odyn is it just a bad choice in general, at the moment I have good gear for demo and Destro but 0 XP with the new Aff and i have some gear but not enough to be like I can just learn the rotation and be good.

I haven't tried GoServ but yea it might be better than sac ill try it out next go round.

Hey i was wondering why my demonology DPS is so low? I wondering if it's because i don't have enough haste (have 29% with food) or am i just doing something horribly wrong? Here are the logs:

I'm not sure if this belongs here, because my dps is good compared to my guild. But my ratings isn't.

This link is skewed, since that is from when I had worse gear (and I performed better according to my bracket) or before others played better (95% rating the 27th october with 368k dmg, 85% raiting today with 429k damage).

Cenarius today 73% rating with 349k damage.

I don't know how to push it to 90+ or 95+.

Some fights I get targeted more with mechanics, but others I feel I play 98% perfect, but that still gives a bad rating.
What am I doing wrong? I know with my current ilvl of 878+ I get compared to many skilled.
But I like to improve.

That is why I went Destro for certain fights, even though I am Demonology. I want to know how to play better like others with the same gear

Hello,

I have a nice affli lock.
The avg ilvl is 875, but the gear is far from BiS or optimal (18%crit, 24% haste, 101% mastery, 3% vers, 1% leech, 6% avoid)

Generally, I would like to improve myself. So if you guys could get me some suggestion, that would be very nice.

- There is any good suggestion for the gear and stats/balance?

Hello all. I have had a destro lock since BC and was generally tops in my guild during Wrath. Fell off during Panda and have now come back in Legion. I still love my destro lock, but I need all the help I can get. I'm usually fine in Mythics+ but when it comes to raids, I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. The group I ran with ran heroic Guarm tonight, and suffice to say, I was not pleased at all with my output. I have two legendaries and am 869 equipped with 13 points in my fourth golden. I'm trying to stack crit and haste as much as possible, but I keep getting mastery gear (really missing reforging right now).

I'm trying to keep Imm up at all times, followed by a Con, then CB, Con, Grimoire: Imp, and Portals when I have two or more and am trying to keep the shards at four by firing off the CBs as much as possible. I know the fight is movement intensive, but there has to be something more I can do to get the numbers up for the gear I have. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, please let me know. I apologize for not having direct links, I'm under a post limit apparently.

Basically, just looking for overall tips. I typically perform well but am looking to squeeze out every bit of DPS before NH. Looking for people to spot any poor tendencies I have. My percentiles are good and everything, but I'm sure I can do more. For instance, on Ursoc there is a Warlock with the same legendaries as me but is absolutely crushing me and I'm not sure what else I could be doing.

Hi mate!

When you check the casts (your rotation), at Odyn.
First of all, the build is not the best for a single battle fight, (maybe at Helya, but for guarm and odyn its pure ST).
BTW, casting:
- You missed 3 PS cast, what drop your dps and healing ability. Also, maybe the effigy or sould conduit will be more optimal for Odyn.
- The cast list show you cast corruption, after seed of corruptions (maybe its a bug and its the basic renew/redebuff), but after seed, you don't have to cast it again
- The UA casting is low
- Reap Soul usage was very low (you completely don't cast it in the first minute...)
- Corruption missing at the late fight
- If m I right, you refresh your dots after they completely done, but not in the pandemic range (keep up them to make consistent, high dot)
- I did not see any potion (prepull/late fight for 2nd phase)
- I did not see any necklace enchant what help your dps (there are a few nice proccer direct enchant, like the Satyr)

Everything else look nice imho, keep up the great work!

Well after 7.1.5 hit I decided to dust off my affli-scythe and take off to see how it would fare.
Quite frankly I'm embarassed, especially on single target and I would rather like to know how to fix things other than cursing people for *porting to respec* while my shards and souls run dry.

I'm trying to get the hang of affliction again since my single target is too low.

I'm doing what i think i should be doing according to the guides ive read, but my dps is still not topping 300k according to my recount. What kind of mastery % numbers are we reaching for to get to that 800k dps number i see touted? I know my gear is more suited for destro at the moment (29% haste 20% crit, 70% mastery), so i need to know what to shoot for.

After 100% mastery my DPS started to shoot up and also get the 35 points. Stats don't stop you from practising though.

I will also say that Affliction in a real combat situation with full buffs scales way better for me from dummy results than other two specs. But 800k on ST? Not something that many people will ever reach sustained (in current gear anyhow).

She is trying Affli currently, last night we had a quick clear on hc EN and hc ToV. Could you please check her dps, rotation, and advise how to perform better in most of the fights?

In the logs i've seen that on Guarm she forgot to summon her pet, but thats the only case as i remember.

She does not have good legendaries (havoc back, Opus neck, Sephus and gateway-legs), and still missing some items to have better gear for Affli.

Hi mate,

I would like to suggest something regarding your stats:
- Get more mastery, to get 100+, all your dots scale with mastery basically.
- Your haste is enough
- You need more crit, after 20% haste, you need more crit. (the weight is basically master > haste > crit, until you got a minimum value, then mastery > crit > haste)

As rotation:
- As far as I counted your castings, you let lot of dot dropped, instead of refreshing in the pandemic area. (maybe i'm wrong, but seems so)
- There was a big dead time (you were dead, huh?) what also drop your overall dps
- Sometime do not have to spam all your UA, because your other dots will end, then your MG will not affect as you expected (imho this is the real issue)

One more suggestion:
- I don't know, did you use any food / flask during the fight, but if not, please use. By food, some mastery based (or after 100+ mastery, use just crit based).
- I don't know, did you use any WeakAura or anything what help monitor your process? If not, please try to get some dot related mod or weakaura

Hello,

Some extra info missing: iLvl, build, armory link or stats and how many trait she has right now
By rotation, I guessing, she used the effigy build, but i'm not sure. That is also important.

As logs, I only found two issue, what could help to keep up the great work (because it is right now already!):
- Consistent Agony usage missing
- Pandemic range missed lot of time at Corruption

Suggestion:
- Lot of time missing the Reap usage (20-30 sec between one usage. I know, it's an ugly rng behind it, but should be able to use in every 10th sec (+-2), if am I right (not sure, but as far as I experienced). This miss the 10% dmg boost and lot of trait not boosted at all (so lost lot of possible crit dmg as well)
